Need Help Deciding What SEO to Use for Software Sales Site

I've never bought an SEO package before and so I'm basically a newb on the subject. But I have been doing lots of reading and saving SEO packages that looked popular and good. I would appreciate any help in choosing one of these. I have a site where I sell software for cheap; digital downloads. I would like onsite as well as offsite SEO, and I would prefer if it were on the more affordable end; maybe around $500 one time payment, or $300/month. I understand that a good SEO package would have updated itself for the latest Google algorithm changes and other such things. I also agree with the notion that these days, a heavy social media presence is all but necessary. And so I'm only interested in the latest and the best quality SEO packages that are more likely to work than anything else. If I missed any that you think are good or that would benefit my type of site the most, then please mention them as well.

You won't really get an accurate answer for this, you just have to try these yourself.

Imho, you should hire someone who actually knows what they're doing and you'll save yourself from a lot of pain. Checkout the "Hire a Freelancer" section.
