Cloaking Links for Press Releases

I've searched this forum but couldn't get the answers I'm looking for. Does link cloaking still works for Press Releases and does it really convert well for leads? I just read a course udemy and i want to try it out... I don't want to waste money on something that won't work, so far i havn't seen anybody here doing it. Your responses will be much appreciated.

It depends on what you're doing. Does it still work? Yes. Maybe? Depends on what you're actually doing.

Hi it depends on press release publisher, when we started our press release site, we use to get press release like dell ceo statement or amazon media release which use to have real text but links in closing para were always a redirect to some shaddy affiliate site. So if your release goes to a mannual approver with small quantities it will not pass else it will go of you buy some big plan.

I intend to cloak my links (which is for Clickbank affiliates) and then use press releases. Are you trying to say this method doesn't work anymore? or ppl don't just buy it
