I have just started out with pinterest (properly at least, ive been pushing images from instagram using IFTTT for a year or so). From my understanding, automation doesn't really work on pinterest as having followers is fairly useless (or is it?). If you are looking to use pinterest to promote a personal blog, it seems like you need to put some thought and effort to reap the rewards of pinterest. Was hoping to get some answers about getting started for someone who isn't great at creating original images but wants to try and get some traffic to a blog from pinterest.
Is there any benefit in creating a bunch of boards and repinning a load of content to get started? - The reason I ask is say you have a movie blog. I might make boards for genres, popular franchises and various other things related to movies. When I make a new blog post about something like harry potter on my website that i want to push traffic to, i can post it to a harry potter board and then all the related genre boards. Is this effective?
Can automation do anything to help grow your audience in 2019? By this i mean a silver bullet like things like the follow/unfollow strategy for instagram.
Group boards seem impossible to find these days. Whats the secret? All guides I read say to repin to group boards.
