do you think it's possible to bank with a quite popular account? I'm talking about affiliates

Yes of course, there are lots of people doing that right now.

I have no idea, this is a question for them.

Hi Guys,

I'm starting this thread as I started a method thread on how to use Pinterest and specifically Pinterest group boards to make money. If you are interested in checking out that thread you can see it here

https://www.blackhatworld.com/seo/m...up-cash-20-100-a-day-pinterest-method.939656/

It has had a lot of replies so reading through the whole thing can seem a bit daunting but there is a lot of great info in there from all of the questions that have been asked. Its due to the fact I get a lot of general Pinterest questions there that I am starting this ask me anything thread for everyone's benefit that want o know and learn more about Pinterest in a general sense.

If you have a question about Pinterest feel free to ask and I will answer the best I can with my personal take on it. I'm no expert by any means. I have used Pinterest with a some success with promoting eCommerce products and other websites. I make a few thousand dollars a month just from selling some pins and invites to people. Back in the early days of Pinterest we were named one of the top ten shops using Pinterest to promote a brand by some big blogger which sent a lot of traffic and connections our way. if it was not for that person saying that I would not have connected with half of the people I did and would not know the things I do now so if anything that helped a lot and helped us achieve a level of knowledge closer to what they were eluding to in the post lol.

As I say I'm in no way an expert but I feel like a know a few things that if shared would benefit some people so ask away and I'll be happy to help.
Some great content in here I should dug out all replies and find the great content which you have posted in here.

This is a great thread. I want to set up a tiered Pinterest farm with 100+ accounts like was suggested here. (https://www.blackhatworld.com/seo/how-to-get-traffic-with-pinterest-and-followliker.919321/) I have a few questions.

1. Should feeder accounts be in any niche or a related niche?
2. How many boards and posts would you suggest for a starter feeder account?

Thanks!

I'm not familiar with that thread so your best bet would be to ask that person. I don't do things on this scale. I would assume same niche would be best and this is all a numbers game so as many as you can get.

can I use multiple pinterest accounts to drive traffic to one domain , or I risk being banned if I do that ?
If there is a risk of the domain being banned, can I use 301 redirecting domains to the original website so that the main domain doesn't get banned , Or I need cloacking ?

Yes, with any activity using multiple accounts you always run a risk of getting suspended or flagged for something. However if you are smart you can avoid most bans. If you spam like crazy with hundreds of accounts then it is likely that at some point you will get banned. I have no idea what happens if you do or how to circumvent it as it has never happened to me. Knock on wood lol

I had created a new business account recently and created multiple boards and added repins to those boards over a period of 3 to 4 days. Then one day suddenly they suspended my account for spam and did not reinstate. I had verified website and around 7 boards with multiple sections. There were around 70 to 120 repins in each board. Does repinning to your own boards amount to spam?

The problem is that their algorithms are so finely tuned that there will always be collateral damage....even if you are 100% whitehat, don't delete the account, build new accounts and start again....there is always a chance that your banned account might get re-instated in the months ahead ;)

Hey William702, I have been following your pinterest threads the last week, very informative, thank you for sharing the knowledge.

I have started a few boards and discovered when repinning I can't remove any website inks attached to the pics. A quick google seems to confirm that this option was removed a while back, and for obvious reasons.

Is there any work around for this?

You must have triggered something. Personally I have never had any problems with stuff like this so I don't know how to advise you on it.

Good advice!

Yes I noticed that not too long back. I don't know of a work around sadly. It must e a feature to stop spam and people stealing content to direct back to their own sites.

I read comments about different dimensions of the image pin. What is the recommended one?, and does it have a ranking factor?

i agree, they even admit it themselves

If I only have 7 gigs on Fiverr, how do you advise posting on pinterest? All 7 spread out over 3 days then repeat, 1 per day then repeat, or one per day for 7 days then repeat every 30 days.

I'm just trying to drive traffic to my Fiverr gigs but don't want to get banned for spam. I'm in 2 group boards too.

I have an account with 700K + monthly view and 30K Monthly engage how can I monetize this account can you explain.

I think they do make a difference. Long pins used to be all the rage. I actually read a blog post recently on Pin sizes. The 2:3 ratio is best and I have been going by the recommendations on Picmonkey and their presets

To be honest i have not had that much success in driving conversions from Pinterest for Fiverr gigs. Ecomm products, fashion, food & drink, home decor all do well on Pinterest, but as a means to promote business services there are better options. You would get far more potential clients by promoting in facebook groups.

Really those figures don't mean squat! I have had tons of emails from people saying that they will promote my shop for $20 on their 1M+ views account. They act like they actually get views....they don't. Firstly that's impressions not views and that means nothing too. What niche is the account in. What have you been posting? is it a business account for a business you ran? what value can you give to potential clients? how many boards do you have? how many group boards are you apart of?

The reason why one of the methods I posted worked was because I was a member of lots of group boards and was able to make a good offer such as "I will pin your products to 60+ of the largest etsy and shopping related group boards in the world" this would grab peoples attention and also if these people were not members of these group boards it made it a service that they could not get without me. this also opened the door to sell a higher priced service of inviting them to these boards themselves to pin for free. the pinning service and it's price made the invite service more appealing and a better deal. Here are the links to some threads which might give you a few ideas on how to monetize it.

Hey man! I was advised to follow all your posts as you have experience with Pinterest & Fiverr. I should have known this as I loved your Pinterest post but the advice helped me realize your potential in helping me.

Thanks so much for letting me know that you couldn't get too much converting traffic from Pinterest to Fiverr. I think I'm going to mention in the title of each pin that it's a Fiverr service. I have been getting a lot of views, but like you said not much conversion. I'll build up my pinterest more passively now cause I honestly just love the platform.

I will definitely look at Facebook groups. I'm already in a couple for Fiverr gig promotion but thought it might be kind of pointless because who is actually viewing these posts if it's just a promotion group? However, I noticed after I stopped posting to them my views drastically dropped, so they were bringing in a decent amount of newbie traffic.

But for general groups related to my niche, I'll admit I had a bit of anxiety worming my way into the group, then passively offering my services. However, after reading some tips here & getting an accountability partner for my morning ritual this anxiety has faded as much as it will before I dive it. I learned that you need to offer to help people with their questions, then put a note at the bottom if you have any further questions to message me. Whoever messages, you answer their new question then say if you need any further help that I offer xyz service on abc website.

Sorry for the long reply...lost my train of thought.

TLDR: Thanks! Things are clicking, will still run my Pinterest passively cause it's fun. Because new research and experience, my anxiety is a lot lower so I can start promoting properly in FB groups related to my niche.

Hi William. Sorry for being stupid:D I'm really new to pinterest and trying to rank my pins.
I have read your thread and i don't really get it. Perhaps it's due to my poor english;)

So, would you please answer these?
  • Do you mean I have to pin my post again and again? in one board or in many boards?
  • Couldn't be dangerous/risky to pin the same post many times in the same board?
  • Or, do you mean I have to repin the pins(that I want to rank) in many boards? or only in one board?
Please help me sir..I'm almost frustrated in ranking my pins..
