What do you think guys about the updated version of the Moz Domain Authority? Is it important now?

I think it improved, but still wouldn't use it unless I had to.
It's like Kim K trying to stay in the media....annoying and needs to go away.
Wonder how much they paid Goog to blast their crappy message??

I think it has improved...sites with spammy links has suffered...so it is good..

Moz Domain authority is a new ranking factors for website DA.Google search engine continuously change their search algorithm.after launching this update so many websites DA is going down or so many websites DA.
@MisterF I think this is another spammer.

Moz is still irrelevant for SERP comparison. However, they are popular for comparison of websites as page rank is dead and other metrics are not easily available for free users. I guess they just increased weight of quality links in recent update.

I couldn't care less about it as long as my rankings are doing fine. Moz DA doesn't pay, rankings do.

Moz has launched the DA 2.0, this has affected the Domain Authority score of many websites.

Domain Authority has become the industry standard for measuring the strength of a domain relative to ranking. We recognize that stability plays an important role in making Domain Authority valuable to our customers, so we wanted to make sure that the new Domain Authority brought meaningful changes to the table.

Is that a quote from their website?

DA is better than it was but is not as good as their competition in my opinion, the fact I pay relatively so much more for Moz than I do for Majestic does make me a bit sick. Their customer relations has been far inferior to Majestic, in my experience, whilst remaining contrite in their opinion that they are running their sector; they really are not!

I treat Moz grading how I treated Alexa Rank back when PR was big.

It's ok to use as another factor in grading a site, but being the only go to is a terrible idea.

Moz is still Moz. I think it's too mainstream to really give you an advantage.

Domain Authority has served our industry for years as a predictive measure of ranking ability, and we knew it deserved some updates to help it keep pace with search engine algorithms.

i think organic traffic numbers are now more important (and future proof) than DA

It was always known to be an incredibly easy to game set of stats with no real correlation with rankings. It is better now but it is not the best and when it is as much or more expensive than alternatives that are better than it I don't see how it keeping pace with much.

I think DA 2.0 is definitely improved in a way higher quality links are weighted more now. Seems probably closer to Google's Pagerank although none of us know that for sure.

@MisterF I think this is another spammer.

Was about to report him, been posting random sht and google copy paste stuff since a few days.

Their post has been deleted now. In the future, I recommend just sticking to reports instead of calling members out publicly. In my experience, it doesn't really help the matter.
