Ask me anything about Facebook Ads 2019

Thanks for the suggestion, I get very low relevant score if i were to use the affinity interest in audience insights

Sounds like you need better ads then

Ok i will ask you this is there a way to make free ad campaign by buy new facebook accounts ??

Not reliably, buying Facebook Ad accounts is quite expensive and risky, not worth it imo.

What should be idle ad stretegy for a ecomm store selling low end womens nightwear and lingere.
Or if you can provide any insights on how to traget intrest for the similar ecomm store.

You should have abandoned cart and landing page retargeting ad sets set up and running at low budgets ($2.50/day each).

Use the Audience Insights Tool to find interests in your niche.

Hey op, thanks for helping so many of us!

I got a question as well.

I started a new company that i want to turn into a long term business ( main business) I've learned and applied a lot over the course of 8 months. Seo is finally kicking in a bit, but of course i should not only rely on just trying to promote my stuff through reddit/facebook/instagram and seo.

My question would be: What would be the best course of action to start getting more traffic/possible conversions (or more efficient testing to get those conversions) PPE? I got a blog attached to it, maybe i should promote an article that might be helpful and get more brand awareness?

Basically, should i get some brand awareness ads running or go ppe and retarget them afterwards?

If so, what would you recommend the ad copy to be like? My products are mechanical keyboards.

Title says everything ;)

I currently manage $50,000/month in ad spend for a variety of clients. Mostly eCommerce and lead gen for blogs and service providers. Happy to help however I can :)
Thanks for share

Have you used CBOs or do you still manage with budget on the ad set level?

I've actually been testing CBO the past few weeks after Facebook announced it would become the default later this year. Results seem pretty strong definitely have to do more testing before I reach a conclusion but I'd highly recommend it.

Mechanical keyboards have a super niche and dedicated crowd. I think you would be better off going direct to purchase on your ads rather than trying to promote content. Start with a retargeting campaign, retargeting anyone that visited your site and hasn't purchased. Also set up an abandoned cart ad set if you haven't already. From there you can start creating lookalikes based on people who viewed product pages for cold traffic.

Yes exactly, I saw a post from about this so just trying to keep up to date with people's experiences. But yes testing myself will be best.

What post? Would love to read. Gonna be publishing a case study on my own results soon

Hi Mate,

How to start FB ads.

What kind of business do you run?

I've created a case study which shows how I generated thousands of leads for a dermatologist through SEO.

I've tried running FB ads directly to the landing page of case study, and then at the bottom asking for a meeting / book a call with me.

This hasn't worked at all, even though I've gotten about 52 link clicks at $0.59 per click.

Any suggestions? IF you'd be okay with taking a closer look, I can also PM you the landing page.

Thanks for your help!

I believe it was a blog post from Jon Loomer, he's the first I heard the news about the CBO change from.

Got it, big fan of Loomer. Will definitely check it out

First off congrats on your case study that sounds amazing. Your problem was likely because you ran a Traffic campaign rather than a Conversion campaign. The objective you select is super important, as it tells Facebook 'who' you want to show your ads to. Traffic campaigns generally get shown to people who like to click on Facebook Ads, not necessarily people who will book a meeting with you. To fix this, you need to create a Custom Conversion event for when people book a meeting, then build a Conversion campaign around that objective.

Feel free to PM me with the landing page and if you need any help with that setup.

How to run ads in the make money online niche? uhm what do you say ?

You'll need to be more specific but in MMO you can't make any claims/guarantees on income ie. you can't say learn how to make $5,000/month.

Thanks for the advice. Im gonna start learning a bit more about the practises and make my move.

Hi,

I've read several times that you say that promoting articles for women between 10 and 20 dollars works very well.

Assuming I'm trying to sell an item like this that I should be able to sell relatively easily; at what point do you consider the product unviable and switch to another?

Basically, I would like to know in what data of your campaigns you look to decide when to stop promoting them?

How much usa traffic i can get to my website for $5 ? thanks

Depends entirely on your targeting. High quality clicks are generally $1/each so 5 clicks?

Articles? I never said that. Proper product testing requires $500 minimum investment in my opinion. You can get a pretty good idea of how profitable it will be early on based on your CTRs and relevance scores.

Sorry, wanted to say 'products' haha

This means that if I am selling a $15 product I must spend approximately $500 to get an idea of whether or not to continue selling that product?

Have you ever had campaigns with good ctr and score but far from having an acceptable ROI?

You couldn't give some numbers to know when not to go on with a campaign. I don't know, for example, $500 spent and not get more than 50% ROI by selling a $15 product?

50% ROI would absolutely be a terrible campaign I aim for a 200% minimum (2.00 ROAS), at least on cold traffic.

And yes, tons of campaigns will have good CTR and relevance but not drive purchases.

Thank you,

Have you ever been unable to make the sale of a customer's products profitable?

I'm asking you this because I've launched some campaigns that I've stopped for not exceeding 100% ROI and I'll never know if the problem came from my website, from the configuration of my advertising campaign, or if I was trying to sell a product that will never work very well in that precise month and country.

There is no specific data we can get from face ads that allow us to guess where the problem might comming from?
