Ask me anything about Facebook Ads 2019

Start by posting links to your product/store on your page organically. Set up a retargeting campaign to target people that abandon their cart or view a product page but don't purchase. Once you have that down you can start creating LALs based off of customers and website data.
Okay sounds good! Would I use traffic, reach or conversions to perform retargetting ?

Hello,

When running engagement campaigns for e-commerce, do you recommend placing a bid cap? Also, what bid strategy do you recommend - pay on impressions or post engagement?

Thanks!

Simple Q how to get Mobile App Installs fro Tier 3 countries?

Fb ads for self promoting ( techno genre), promotion of sets and tracks for my region. Can I gain good recognition and youtube views like that? Is it worth it?

@Drought ,
I sell a product which is targeted to Amazon sellers from China. I heard that people from many cities are selling on Amazon so choosing specific target on facebook ads has become difficult for me. Could you please give me some ideas on this kind of targeting? (I asked this previously which probably you haven't noticed).

how to get away from facebook ban with affiliate marketing..

Use a quiz pre-lander or opt-in page to collect email subscribers, then email offers to them.

No, I almost never use bid cap. Most people don't know how to use it right. Pay per your objective (engagement, clicks, etc.)

Yes you can, yes it can be worth it. I mentioned it earlier in the thread, music videos and visualizers work well

Hmm, don't you risk burning your budget much faster in that case for a lower amount of clicks?

Hello Drought,

Do you think it's possible to get Facebook page likes through Ads for a targeted country ?
I meant is it efficient enough ?

No, if you start with a small testing budget ($5-$10) then you won't be at risk. Bid cap and target CPA are only good for eCommerce when you're trying to scale really really fast, which is high risk/high reward.

Yes it is. You can get page likes for less than a penny by targeting 'worldwide' and excluding T1 countries (US, CA, UK, AU)

I set up a funnel to sell one of my products and out of the 5 adsets, 1 ad set got me 2 conversions. The product sells for $24.99 and each conversion is costing me $17.80. With the total cost of the item this particular set is losing -$3 per conversion. Dont pay attention to the ATC or content view metrics unfortunately I only set that up today.

It's the first ad I've ever run on FB. I havent narrowed anything down, running it to all women, all age groups, audience is 1 million. Any thoughts for me? Let me know if you need more data for the analysis. Thanks!

First of all, these are really solid results for the first campaign you've ever run. Good job. I would continue running this ad set exactly the way it is for another $40-$50 just to collect some more data and see how the algorithm improves your campaign (which it does). After that, I would:
- Check your relevance score. You have a 7 now which is good but to be hitting crazy profit you need a 9 or 10. Experiment with more ad variations, test videos, slideshows, carousels, single image, etc. Test short copy, long copy, everything.
- Use the 'view charts' function (hover over an ad set and it will show) to see which demographics and platforms are working best for you. Duplicate your ad set and narrow down on your best performers.

Good job man! You're off to a great start.

I am having a bit of trouble understanding but yes you can target locally, it is difficult to target locally + add in buying behaviors/demographics.

Awesome thanks for the vote of confidence. Right now I have it at $15 a day so I should hit that mark in 3-4 days, and I will report back to you with the data.

I want to promote Amazon affiliated products. Can I just place the link on my facebook ads or it would be better to use a landing page? What budget should I use to get some sales?

How many ad-sets are you running? and what are the daily budgets of those ad-sets.

What are the ad placements being used by you?

It is really important to be patient with Facebook Ads. If you are starting out fresh, then start with multiple narrow segments of the audience with smaller budgets. $3 or $5 daily budget is good.

I don't believe in this theory "SPENDING MORE, HELP YOU GENERATE MORE DATA, WHICH WILL EVENTUALLY LET YOU SCALE QUICKLY". I have been running Facebook Ads for last 3 years and have spend more than $5 million to prove this shit theory wrong.

To this day, I have 6000 adsets running on dropshipping ad account, all spending $1 to $5 every day.

Also, test ever fucking combination to find what's working for you. Don't just believe, that Facebook Feeds are the best placement to target. Currently, I have a lead gen account where CBO (Campaign Budget Optimisation) and AP (All Placements) are giving me exceptional results.

Use small budgets, test everything, find out what's best for you and then scale the shit out of those ads.

$5-10 is enough to get started. Yes, it would be better to use a landing page. Though Amazon affiliate is not going to have significant enough profit margins for you to make money.

Would using affiliate networks or Cpa be better than amazon?
