Wow very bad results.
On there website they mentions they have United Kingdom 140900 ips.

I was about to signup for some USA residential proxies but now I have second thoughts if they even have USA 525300 ips.

I've reviewed this product, i had 1 day trial and these are my findings.

Settings: Rotating Session
Proxy Location: GB

Before testing i was told they had over 22,000 UK Proxies but they are adding more.

I tested their service by creating my own PHP script which logs every visit to a speficic page and gets the IP information as well as other information, here are the results:

Visits Recorded: 57,042
How many UK including Duplicate IPs: 56,804
How many UK Unique IPs: 3930
How many from Non-UK IPs: 239

So from out of 57,042 requests only 6.88% of them was unique UK IPs. They say they have over 20,000 UK Proxies but from my findings they only have 3,930.

I also question how they are getting these proxies, if i was to have a guess they have Bot Nets (or something of the kind) on vicitims PCs based in the selected country which allows people to send traffic through them, why do i think this you ask. Well there was MANY connection issues where you'd be taken to pages such as BT where it would say:






There was also issues with Sky Broadband issues which would try and redirect you to the Modem IP for a Self Heal. There was also IPs coming from Hotel Wifi Networks, for example the ibis hotel in Carlisle.

Theres also alot of IPs that are not Residential, for example i have no idea how but they even use IPs from the HSBC Bank.

I'm not sure what else to say, the positives are the proxies are quick but I'm just worried about how they are getting the proxies and also the false information on how many GEO IPs they actually have.

Hey! in UK we have around 140K residential IPs and yes, you can choose country or city lever targeting. Regarding BHW offer - check your inbox!

I actually got my number wrong, it wasn't 22,000 they said they had but 140,000!!! Well that certainly isn't true. Based off the stats/report i did there was only 1400 uk well known residential proxies.

thank you for your in-depth feedback, I'm glad you found that the proxies are fast!

We'd like to stress that we focus on quality, not only a quantity of proxies. Therefore, we are taking actions to ensure that the IPs that we have in the pool are above our threshold. We routinely take out a chunk of IPs to cool them down to ensure smooth performance for our users therefore it is possible that your calculations are correct.

As for our proxy sourcing, we are working with third party developers and trusted vendors to create our proxy pool. The total of IPs is calculated over a longer period of time and you only got to see the ones that were active during the day of your trial. Due to the nature of residential IPs, the number cannot be constant.

Nonetheless, thanks for your detailed feedback! We will look into the logs that you have provided. As we understand you need a bigger pool of IPs, so I'm creating a reminder to DM you once we have additional vendors added to our pool for a repeat test

Thanks for your reply, i understand that you may remove IPs that are not as fast/meet your threshold, but from saying you have 140,000 UK Residential Proxies to just 1,400 from my findings is a HUGE discrepancy. I dont believe you removed 138,600 UK proxies in the last 2 days which can only mean you lied about the total number of UK Residential IPs you actually have.

Honesty is the best part in order to gain customers, feel free to invite me for another trial once you have more proxies and ill do another test for you. Also as a recomendation for UK Residential Proxies please just focus on these type of IPs from the following UK ISPs:

BT
Sky Broadband
EE
Three Mobile
PlusNet
TalkTalk
Vodafone
Telefonica / O2

I have tried quite a few residential providers in the latest months and there are some faults going on imho. Most of them have underperformed for some reason. Maybe the focus towards proxy quality and not the quantity is the way to go, since both scraping and social media projects I am on worked pretty smoothly with Smarts. Kudos on that.

Yeah, creating goes through without much of issues 4 me. Managing is the tricky part, but with extra safe-settings you are g2g.
