I got a chance to have proper momos after a long time.

Anyone else loves momos here?

I do, especially the ones available in North Bengal (silliguri area) & nepal. In my locality (Kolkata), the quality isn't that good except for a few places. Still, better than nothing.

Probably the shape, and the fact that Momos are steamed; not boiled (most of the dumpling videos I saw on youtube boil the dumpling instead of steaming). So, momos should be lighter.

I havn't had them in a long time, but I am a big fan of steamed dumplings from chinese restaurants. There is also a vinegary sauce you pour over them. If its the same, they are very good.

Eat at the right place, you'll be in heaven for half an hour.

No, the taste is far different. Unlike Samosa, this isn't crispy, rather far softer and the fillings are also different.

Samosa contains mashed potato or friend onions + semolina and is deep fried, but momos are boiled in water.
