Interesting method but must find a way to get GMB listing approved and alive for a while. Buying theme is quite expensive and got no control on quality. Not easy to start and need lots of testing and time to find good and open minded people to work with.

Thank you guys so much for this. I read the whole 6 pages, so I'm sure this question wasn't asked yet. What do you do with the leads from the time you set up the gmb until the time you sell them? I mean those people are looking for someone to solve their problem now, not in a week when you are able to find someone to buy the lead from you. Or you just don't pick up the phone but just count how many missed calls you go on that number and then use that as leverage to tell your future client that you can generate x number of leads daily/weekly/monthly?

Oh, and for those who asked about how to verify it the black hat way, it took me like 5 seconds to google "how to get gmb verified?" there are like 10 different ways, with and without postcard.

It seems to me the challenge here for newbies like myself is not to get it verified but to find a profitable keyword and finding a way to sell those leads you generate.

Post your service on Craiglist. Within the post place the GMB link or the GMB name and advise the prospect leads to check out your latest reviews they can do so either by the link or googling the GMB name.. either way this helps my GMB rank since they will most likely interact with my posts and either click on the call button or visit the official website (landing page) where I collect their fb pixels for future targeting as well. If they hit the call button I lock them in on a scheduled visit from a local expert to get an estimate on site.

Good luck trying with Craigslist! Biggest drawback is its not instant. You hv to wait for 14 days for it to reach, and worst case postcard not arriving. So many areas aren't available for postcard service.And you don't need them for clicking on your posts and stuff xD

All my GMB are instant verified. Craigslist post are just for prospecting leads

That is not the best way to make sure you are closing people.

Use a number that comes to you, talk to the prospect, set the appointment and then send the lead to the client.

You can have clients prepay 10 leads at a time with a tiny bit of sales effort and have no real out of pocket to make this a nice money maker.

I used to have several companies in each niche pay for leads in advance and we would handle the phone call, set the appointment and send that to the client. Anything less is mailing it in and not really the highest and best use of those that call in as to leads.

I've done this for years and know that sending the lead direct is fine if you want to make beer money but if you want to make real money you handle the call.

Yours is a very local point of view. You live there. But for people living outside de US, it would be a nightmare to coordinate teams to handle phone calls.

Moreover, I wouldn't call doing the method as OP does, beer money.
I would surely try it. I am confident that I can yield a nice income stream to add to other methods without the hustle.

I like this method, but I think now with the amount of ads from Google is quite difficult to sell.

If the calls come in for the service provider then that's all that matters. Google Ads does not necessarily get more clicks than gmb's. Gmb's are gold

Just use callrail. I'm also not US based and have no problem co-ordinating US based calls.

You are not having multiple listings with the same name, address, phone number. Each listing has a different NAP. The gmb verification service providers will give you a different a address for every listing, you just have to get a different name and another call forwarding number which is like 1$/month.

How would you know what to sell the lead for? Obviously it will depend on the niche but let's assume you target the plumber niche (inline with this thread) - how would you know what a reasonable price for that lead should be?
