I took a leap of courage and dove into e-commerce recently after hearing about unbelievable, unrealistic, disgusting and mouth watering profits through Shopfiy dropshipping methods. I've seen profits as high as 15k a day on e-commerce sites. Seen with my own eyes too, not just read some bullshit post claiming 15k days.
We all hear about gross profits, but what I care about is net profits. What do I take home after all my ad spend and buying products. That's all that matters. The left overs.
I did a shit ton of research on my niche and products before diving in, and I know someone else who is doing very well with this niche (profits 2-3k net/day).
I've finally come to realize it definitely takes some balls to dive into this stuff heavy. You gotta have skin in the game to be in the game.
Since my launch on January 15th I've racked up over 4k on my credit card for Facebook Ads and Aliexpress products (CDN funds). The return is decent, but not great. The problem is I haven't mastered the facebook ads, and I might be asking too high of a price on my products.
I'm buying a product for aprox $10 USD, and selling it for +20USD markup. I'm using a general rule of thumb of +$20USD for markup. I'm including free shipping, ePacket typically costs me around $4 to most locations if it's not free from supplier.
All the traffic and sales I'm getting is directly from Facebook / Instagram campaigns. I'm shotgunning it right now (literally) which means I'm still testing out what works and what doesn't. This is the first time I have ever launched facebook ads so I don't exactly know what I'm doing yet and have a proper system in place for testing.
Here are my sales since I have started..
Like I said, profits are decent, but not great. Basically I've netted about $2,500 sicne I've started (Jan 15). But I also took a break for a few days and turned off advertising when I found out almost everyone shuts down for Chinese New Years.
SO I COME TO YOU FELLOW BHW MEMBERS!
I need to increase my profits, which means I need to spend more money on facebook ads and drive more traffic to my store.
The problem is, I don't have a good system in place for facebook ads.
Any advice on facebook ad strategies would be well appreciated.
Basically right now I'm starting with PPE, 6 images with the same headlines. I kill off the ones that have no reactions and then use the high scoring images for my carousel conversion ads.
What is the best method of split testing and optimizing facebook ads? I know once I crack into these facebook ads, there will be 10k days in no time. My goal right now is $500/day net. I'm currently averaging $147/day for February.
