Wow wow wow.

Alright I've got a lot of work to do it seems tomorrow.

I promise I will respond tomorrow, finally free :)

In the meantime keep asking.

Hi kasher9, you told us that for real estate ads, it should be as broad as possible. I have few more questions:-
1) Hence apart from city and age. Should we leave interest options empty? Otherwise what interests options do you recommend for real estate?
2) What campaign objective is good for real estate ads? Leads generation, photo via engagement, video via engagement, CTW?
3) What daily budget do you recommend?
4) I usually only gets around 3-4 relevance score for real estate ads, what is the usual score for this kind of ads?
5) What are the next steps after the first campaign and how do you scale them?
6) What's the success rate usually for real estate ads

On the other hand, I see many advertisers have luck on advertising images full of texts, some even with 80% texts covering the image or text covering a thumbnail in a video (and it is not a product image ad).
Hence, how did they do it? Will it really affect their reach?

Thanks so much for answering my questions :)

Thanks for your time, I'd be a fool to pass up on this!

I have multiple journeys and one of them involves a t-shirt site. I've attempted Facebook ads a few times, with a low budget because the return it rather low and it doesn't bring in a fortune. I've heard many stories of people selling t-shirts successfully on Facebook Ads and making a bundle. Now I don't expect to make 100k from a t-shirt but I would ecstatic to simply turn a profit, get new e-mail leads and start campaigns for the long term. So far, I just can't figure it out. I have attempted pictures of a t-shirt or a picture of a model wearing it and even used PlaceIt videos where they put your shirt in the video. Nothing works. I will sometimes turn a sale but it's always a loss. Now keep in mind, my budget is very low because my faith has taken a hit several times, but here is the result of my last campaign which only lasted slightly less than 3 days using a Carousel ad:

Targeted: USA Age 21-55 (Heard you should always target over 21 and my niche makes sense to stop at 55)
Total Cost: 15.82
Relevance: 9
Reach: 782
CPM: 14.07
Link Clicks: 19
Purchases: 1
Profit per purchase: 7.50

This is just from one Ad. The targeted seemed on point and the design was similar to a successful design that does incredibly well. Mine was an even better version. So here are a few questions:

1 - Would you have killed the ad with similar results? (assuming you didn't have the massive budget you have now)
2 - When do you retarget? If I get 100 Link clicks but only 5 conversions, do you bother retargeting with the 100 link clicks or is that insufficient?
3 - Have you ever had a successful T-Shirt Ad? Any tips on a MUST-DO?
4 - Do you always have to be offering a deal? 25% OFF TODAY ONLY?!
5 - Are there days of the week that tend to do better or worse?
6 - When targeting, how large of a group do you aim if you are on 5-10$ a day budget?
7 - Do you bother adding behaviors like Engaged Shoppers and/or Online Shopping?

Thanks!

I have got a few more questions (sorry for asking so much):

- Is it a good idea to reply to comments and ask the audience to share/tag the ad? I have been told that is not against FB T&C, but it might be a trigger...
- When you scale BH, and the new adset(s) perform better than original one, what is the best way to move forward? Considering of killing the original adset or not?
- I have the feeling that starting testing new creatives with a budget of $30 is not longer a good method, seems like I get crap traffic and my relevance score drops dramatically after few hours. Again, how would you suggest to test new BH ads?
- Leag gen/FB looks like a good vertical for 2019. What is the best setup/theme in terms of page (travel, game tips, coupons etc)? Is quiz still an option for landing page?
- Once you have a LLA, would it be a good idea launching PPE or traffic campaigns instead of conversions camps?
- Is red a main trigger nowadays? Talking about red circles/arrows/etc. in the creatives.

I think this is pretty all for now. Thank you again for your time and great support!

  • Don't ask me stupid questions about my specific campaigns/how much I make, as it's just childish/unproductive, but for your reference, as a team we have spent around ~$5m this

Not 100% stupid question, but what is the Currency you are referring to ?

Rupiah ? Zimbabwe ? :D
If seriously is US dollar, oh wow that is real huge $$ to spent on Ads

Wow wow wow - so I just want to remind everyone since this will be long, I won't be organising it as well, so just read your answer within the reply.

I hope you don't mind me asking a lot of questions. Feel free to answer as many as you want.

I have a client who has many supplements in the fitness niche, health niche. I do understand these are quite competitive niches but since my client owns the company his ROI can be justified by customer LTV. Whatever I want to run is by complete whitehat means.

1. My client sells a lot on Amazon and wants to transition to other channels. Now I know that Facebook allows creating custom audiences from customer files and the accuracy depends on the amount of info. However amazon customer file doesn't have any email address and contains only the name and the address of the customer.

Do you think this information would be enough to have an accurate custom audience?
What kind of a campaign would you suggest to run just to test the accuracy of the audience?

2. How do you research audiences when you have NO prior custom audience from pixels or from a customer file? For example let's say one of the product is nitric oxide booster. This helps with workouts and gives you bigger pumps. What I do to understand the audience more is start with researching with similar web and write down any good demographic. I would probably get my hands on anything statistical related and get to know my audience as much as I can till I generate a customer persona .

What would be the required steps/mindset for me to research or create audience sets with no prior data?
What audience size would you recommend for testing new audience sets?

3. Now when it comes to the funnel, what kind of a funnel in your experience, is best suited for physical products more specifically in the fitness/health niche. The ones I'm aware of and continue to use are

blog article -> lead magnet ( FB lead ad ) -> sales page -> upsell->
video ad -> lead magnet to 90% video watched audience -> sales page -> upsell

Since It's the very beginning, I didn't want to make everything complex. Do you think I'm on the right track? Do you think can be something added here?

When it comes to nurtruting the emails, what are some of your tips on best practices? Ratio of sales emails/content type emails.
What email marketing software do you use? Do you think klaviyo would have a good use for my tasks?

4. In your experience, what is the best way to approach a cold audience on FB? And what metrics/variables do you consider most when targetting cold audiences?

5. How much audience size is a good fit for creating a look alike audience?

6. What conversion tracking softwares do you use and what setup would you suggest if one wants to track a lead all the way to the sale from email followups?

7. I would like to know your thoughts on how exactly should I approach this products marketing which has 0 branding/custom audience.

8. What books/podcasts/influencers or any resource would you suggest one should listen/read for Facebook ads.

9. Do you have experience with running fb ads for pay per call campaigns? If so do you have any advice on how exactly to start for that?

10. Lastly, I know this one is a broad question but what steps should a complete newbie take if they want to become proficient in creating whitehat profitable campaigns on FB for affiliate marketing? Can you suggest any good verticals a newbie should start with on FB ads? Do you think starting with foreign products in foreign countries which have an overall low CPM on FB with the help of a human translator, be a good idea for a beginner? Basically anything you would advice on the proper mindset required/things to focus on/work ethic for someone relatively new to FB ads

1. Go broad with your audience, that would be my suggestion, fb's AI is smart enough to send you the right traffic, since your product page probably is fairly means tested.
2. Refer to 1.
3. Lead magnet --> Sales page --> Checkout ---> upsell
4. Re: metrics, I think I talked about general metrics in this thread, but approaching cold audiences the best way to do it is make sure your product description is clear in the ad itself. So, Who, what, where, why. I.e.:

"This nutritional drink is designed to aid gym preperation by providing the boost you need, when you need.

{vid of someone drinking the drink and pumping iron at the gym}

"

the cause and effect rule is generally a good rule to follow. I.e. the users want to know what the cause is and what the effect is.

5. 1000 purchases
6. We have one built in house
7. Has it had significant sales?
8. I personally learnt by trial and error, I feel like all gurus teach you absolute bullshit, and some of the best tricks I know, I would never share, it's just human psychology. I would however suggest reading into marketing psychology, thats a great way to learn how to create good ads.
9. Yes, I would suggest not to do it unless you're experienced
10. Way too broad, I would help but this question is just way too broad to answer...

Thank you for sharing your information with us! I have a few questions.

I have a niche page I'm doing e-commerce and my page has 290k likes. Do you think it's effective to run ads for my audience? This should be cheaper?
And which type of ads do you think would be the most effective? Engagement or conversion? Or should I just ignore my audience and look for new customers through targeting?

Also, let's say I'm selling products for dog-lovers do you think I should target basic interests like dogs, dog owners, must love dogs. Or maybe it would be better to look for related pages through Audience Insights and then target users who like these certain pages. Because there is a huge competition in these basic interests, maybe this tactic would be better?

Thank you!

How did you get these likes?

Hi kasher9, really thanks for this thread. Hope you can answer some of my questions:-

1) Any effective strategies to do FB ads for B2B business? (Selling industrial machinery)
2) For real estate FB ads, you mentioned in your answer that to go as broad as possible before narrowing down. However, what is good for a start? Videos, images, carousel? Any other strategies?
3) You mentioned about BH FB ads, I not sure what is BlackHat ads. Do you mind to give some examples?

Thanks

1) Lookalike audience
2) Definitely Videos + lead magnet for real estate is the best way to start
3) Can't give examples haha

How to run BH ads and warez sites ads on FB and get our ad sets approved?
Any tricks?

Warez sites are VERY difficult to promote on fb ads. I would suggest looking at buying botted IG accs and going down this route instead.

Can i run campaginn as administrator ? Should go for fanpage or simply das direct to my main page ?

Didn't understand?

Could you please provide more details about this? I am not asking for the full method, but has it to do with clickbait ads?
Can you please confirm or negate that FB allows clickbait ads like for example "like my page for a chance to win an iphone" or something like that? thanks in advance

They don't allow clickbait like that, it'll get flagged by moderation eventually.

can you enlighten us with the process?

Sorry which process?

What software do you use to manage the ads or spy on the competition?

I have an internal tool to manage ads we have developed.

Thank You For The Thread There Will be Alot of Helpfull Information Thanks A lot

Thanks

Thank you my friend for your answers
I want to ask you about how to trick Facebook for publishing an ad clickbait of health with image and headlines ?

Warm your accounts correctly!

Any tips on how to start ads in Health / Skin care where pre / After Images are not allowed?

Don't use before and after images, pick either or.

Hey, appreciate you doing an AMA on this.

I've had an idea for a while to run an FB Email campaign to get subscribers onto an email list. I won't go into too much detail about the niche, but it's WH and will help out potential local SEO customers.

Ideally I'd like to target individuals based on their geographical location down to a few cities, as well as their age group.

My understanding is the more granular your targeting, the more expensive each conversion costs. Is this true, and how can I reduce my cost per email sign up if my potential audience is perhaps 20k-30k in size?

Thanks for your time

Yes it is true, your question is a bit broad however, can you narrow it down?

How do you choose your interests? Except for audience insight, how do you know which ones to test in order to waste as less money?

Thank you for opening this kind of thread, it is very helpful and inspiring!

What are you promoting?

Yes , i have more than 1000 customers , i dont want to email because i mad between 1k in month by this and this is not good , i need a way for facebook
ads ! to scale !!

Why don't you create an LLA?

1) Have you tried AdSense arbitrage with FB ads? If yes, what are your views on it?
2) I keep seeing these T shirt image ads(with link in desc) by a specific person. I know its the same person as the caption and tshirts are same in all the campaigns. All these campaigns have thousands of likes but I don't think the person has any license or right to sell those tshirts because of copyrighted designs ofc. So what are your views on this? Do you think the ad account is as at some sort of risk or something?

I'm not a big fan of arbitrage as a whole, it's not a real business model. Eventually, the ad networks shut you down unless you go super legit, which means not chasing after the higher ROI.

2) Does he need copyright?

I've been selling POD shirts on Facebook for over 4 years. I'm finding the cost of conversion ads to be 4x's higher than 2 years ago making it almost impossible to profit. I'm using mainly conversion ads, I don't have my own site, I can't ship worldwide. I still use Teespring. Any valuable info you could provide to help me get back into the black?

hmm, can you elaborate a bit more in PM? I'll share my ideas on this thread but it's more so for me to make a structured response for this since this is pretty vague.

Thanks alot for the insights! I would have some followup questions if you don't mind. And yes, the questions are all related to BH.

1. Regarding having different results with the same ad/funnel. I got your point with seperating the audience. However I never run the same ad creative on 2 or more accs at the same time. So the issue is rather that when one acc dies (and it had a good performance in terms of CPC, CTR and ROI) I relaunch it on a different acc and it totally sucks.
So I guess relaunching adsets is the only way to make it work. (kinda self explaining).

2. You mentioned that you scale (for BH) by duping the adset 3 times. Isn't this somehow gambling since you always tap into a completely new audience?
Or is it a new audience when duplicating ads rather than adset?
So far I've been scaling with creating 3x LLA's (2%,2-5%,5-10%) from the original adset. Issue is that the audiences are small and die out very fast. (despite broad targeting on adsets).

3. As mentioned before ad fatigue is becoming more prominent. How often do you change the ad creative? On my side I noticed that when running with a 400-500$ daily budget (in european geos and broad targeting) the CPC goes up by 40% or so after 3-4 days. And then slowly builds it way up to 100%+. The CTR doesn't drop too signicficantly, so it's obvious that FB wants us to switch out creatives.

4. How often do you keep reusing ad creatives and do you make any edits to them? When using aged and real accs I have no issues, however when going with churn and burn accs I noticed a higher ban rate.

5. What skills do you look for when hiring media buyers? Hire someone with a bit experience or rather train someone from scratch but is good with copywriting? Local or Remote?

6. Happy New Year. Hope you crush it even more in 2019!

2. Without revealing too much, that's not how FB's AI works, I promise you you will get (almost) the right audience with each dupe. If you don't, it means there's something wrong with your ad in relation to your targeting.
3. Oh man, this really varies, I mean some of our ads can spend $30k no issue, then we have ads that dont even lat $1k. It depends on a whole host of factors. The way I can generally tell if an ad is about to die is fhe lander ctr starts to decline over a 3-4 day period, thats when I know the ad is dying. Lander ctr is rarely affected by audience if it's already synced so ...
4. Invest in a decent creatives team and get them to make at least 50% of the ad unique
5. Hustlers, technical skills and thats about it. The rest can be taught, but if you don't have technical skills you will suck as a media buyer. I worked with a guy last year, pretty good with ads but really sucked technically speaking, and sure enough eventually he just tanked.

How to make a facebook ad campaign for a job site? I have tried a couple of times and facebook has banned my ads accounts because it says it is prohibited, however I have seen people who run these types of campaigns and facebook does not ban their accounts.

You need to warm your accounts.

How can I create a facebook ads account without unusual activity?

I'm desperate, I've tried it in a thousand ways, but I always end up banned. In the best of cases, I managed to get them to work in the first campaign, but when I created the second, they banned me.
I've also tried debit cards from banks and paypal.

There may be a 1000 things thats causing this, look at your entire setup including but not limited to your actual acc setup.

I was getting high reach and Actions too from whatsapp msgs campaign but the last month i paid fb the same budget and got low reach either actions .. did facebook change something related to Whatsapp campaigns ?

No - but they have gone public with whatsapp camps, so it may be the case you have more competition + your ads may be worn out.

Hi,

My fb page recently completed fb monetisation eligibility.

But when I fill the form this fb ad break, it says your payment account cant be created now.

Can you please specify where is the lag. I am filling all the correct details and linking my Paypal account with it.

Thanks and Regards

Contact fb on facebook.com/support - it seems like your payments account is flagged for something.

How is it possible that one of theese ad is running since one month ago, and today they get dissaproved when I want to put more of the same ?
Thanks in forward.
I am maybe not the only one that this thing happens.

Happens all the time, just add new ones.

Hi, one question from me:
Do you think it's possible to successfuly advertise IT agency services like SEO, website creation, etc.? Because I have never had success advertising this kind of products on FB...

Thanks for your time and this thread :)

Yes it is possible, we've done it before.

Could you share more information on how to target FB group members upon having access to the group? What scraping is needed? thanks

There are loads of scraping sofware in the marketplace

Is it worth using Instagram ads to grow an Instagram account?

Erm, no.

How can i facebook pixel a facebook group to advertise to everyone in the group at once?

can you elaborate?

Helllo,

What do you think about facebook cryptocurrencies ban? Do you think that affected them long-term/short-term?

Affected whom?

Best strategy for running MMO/bizz ops on FB ads?

Are you running MMO right now?

I have a question on Facebook reach and impressions.

Let's say the total audience size in my targeting options is 500k and I specify my daily budget as $20, FB says it can reach my ads to 2000 people
What does it means?
Does it means day 1, it shows to 2000 people and day 2, it shows to another new group of 2000 people or it keeps showing to the same 2000 people?

Then if after few days, i scale my budget to $40 daily, and now FB mentioned it can reach 4000 people, will these 4000 people is new people haven't see my ad before?

The reach is based on your budget, and yes you get new people until the ad is saturated.

Oo! Ooo! I have a question! @kasher9

How long do you test a campaign or adset?

I usually run my campaigns or ads for 5-7 days, then I would halt it and start another campaign to see if it does well (A/B testing).

Some suggest that 3 days would suffice. What say you?

Thanks!

I think 5-7 days is a good approach, but I believe I answered this earlier in this thread.

Is there anyway to target facebook marketplace users who have active marketplace posts in your area/country with your own facebook ads?

Simple answer, no, long answer yes but it requires a great deal of machine learning.

Awesome thread - happy you have the time to answer our questions. Here's a topic not broached on this thread yet: Getting webinars via FB ads. Most webinar courses don't have effective lessons on FB ads - and most FB ads courses don't have solid funnels for webinars. Seems you can get webinar sign-ups for $5-$8 a piece (haven't tried a webinar campaign on FB yet) if they're clicking over to your sign-up page for cold traffic.

My question is, what's the most cost effective way (or funnel) to attract webinar sign-ups IF you don't already have a warm audience?

Some funnels have you target custom audiences (demographics and interests) with videos, blog posts, and lead magnets to create a warm audience to then advertise your webinar sign-up. I figured I would do this by creating a few lead magnet guides to give to them via messenger as long as they commented on the thread with the word "guide" or something. I figured as long as I was keeping them ON facebook and I asked them via messenger if they would like to sign-up for the webinar (as opposed to going off site to a webinar sign-up page) the cost could be cheaper than outright advertising for the webinar to a completely cold audience or sending them off-site.

Of course once signed up they will be sent an initial webinar sign-up email, be entered into an email inoculation campaign (1-2) in addition to an email series (following the previous) that builds on the value of the webinar and what they will get out of it.

Here's another question for you...

If I were to cultivate warming up an audience via fb messenger ads for lead magnets etc. how much could I save per webinar attendee sign-up (percentage or fixed dollar doesn't matter) as opposed to just advertising the webinar to the cold audience?

Of course I will end up split-testing - just wanted to get your take on attracting webinar attendees so I can plan accordingly...
Thanks again!

Are you trying to sell a fb ads course?

For the scraping individual group members, have you written a post on the topic or can you point us in the right direction in terms of steps to complete or a tool to use?

Hmm, I'll have to look into this

Thanks for this thread! Did you ever been disabled on business manager ?

Many times, have to appeal and get a new account.

One more question. You mentioned that you do engagement ads on the conversion ads.
Do you find that it lowers your CPM or CPC?

People have been saying that page engagement attracts lower CPMs. Do you let your VAs post to the fanpage regularly even after the bh ad is launched? To basically keep it active and somewhat engaged

Yeah it helps with CPM, but it affects quality of the audience too.

Hello Kasher, thanks for your usual support.

According to your scaling BH method, I have a couple of questions:

Do you duplicate the adsets when it is night time in the targeted geo? Cloaker is tuned off during this procedure? If so, when do you turn it off again?

and also

2) Is there a chance to ask for more ad accounts (more than 5 I mean)? How risky is that? (BH)

3) Assuming that you have a good ad that converts, would you start a new campaign with a budget of $30 or more? And what target size, around 2M?

4) If possible, please advice on some valuable solutions to find more ad accounts

Thank you!

Yeah the cloaker is off whilst the adsets are duped

2) Yep there is, we do it all the time, around 30% of the accs are lost like this but it's worth the risk
3) For what product?
4) Research into your local area

Thank you for taking the time to answer these questions.

Thanks.

How can we target audience with few specific Last Name?

Not possible

i ca help you out on your #2 question, if you want more ad accounts, your going to have to email google and explain to them the reason why you need more, ex: 1st time i did it, they gave me 100 ad accounts in total

some of you asking question where you can just google them and you will gets answer right away

@kasher9 so t chime into your page

haha yeah...

okay i have a question. I have 1 client rightnow and he wants me to do facebook ads. He sells courses on udemy and now he created a subcription thing, where people will subscribe for 4 dollars in return he will send them videos everyday (1 video per day , 5min video) teaching about life lessons and lessons or insights he got from reading thousand books. He does have a landing page but it sucks, he is using clickfunnels.

question 1 who should i target? Should i target people who loves books? or target big pages about life lessons or who like udemy?

Have you ran fb ads before?

Hey Kasher9.
I've tried to follow your guide on how to create my own ad accounts some months now. However, all the accounts I've tried have been getting locked due to unusual activity once I add a credit card or launch the first campaign. Some of them got locked a few hours later.
Are there any updates on how to farm the accounts in 2019? I am using luminati proxies, so fully residential and same location as the cards are provided from.
Looking for a solution for both prepaid and post paid accounts.

Again this could be a 1000 reasons, I would check your entire account process including but not limited to your IP's/browser etc.

how I get page like invest few few money?

Erm.

Thanks for your answer! Is it not too risky with BH ads? I have heard that they audit all your ads...

By audit you mean...?

I have just realised that you said "email google"...do you mean FB? :)

Yeah I think he meant fb

Hey Kasher9,

Thanks for this thread. Lots of value. I read all your replies and can see a lot of golden nuggets! I have one question.

How can one prepare accounts for running BH ads?

Like, should we run some white hat ads for a few days and then start BH ads? Say, the accounts being used are aged but never used for running ads.

Thanks for this again! :)

Yeah thats a good base to start - run wh ads for a few days.

I have issues getting a relevance score of 6 and above for my dropshipping ads. How can I improve on it and what kind of ad copy would usually help me increase my score if I know that the video is at least not bad?

Too broad of a question - what kind of product are you promoting?

i am looking for a new facebook profile to start a new business manager/ad account on. You see legitmate and was curious if you could help me acquire one. I would PM you but this is my first time on this site and I do not see the option to PM you. Let me know what the next best steps would be. Thanks

Sorry I'm not interested in selling on here.

Just read through the entire page. Thanks for doing this. I have too many questions to ask but I am learning from just reading the posts.

cool

I have another set of questions, I hope you find the time to answer them as well.

1) How do you test your BH ads? I would appreciate if you can share your method. I have tested 2 ads with a camp of $30 budget. Relevance score was ok like 7-8, but not conversions after 1 day.
2) Is a link shortener (bitly) a trigger?
3) Is it a trigger to schedule campaigns? (BH)
4) Do you put emoticons in the copy? I normally use 1-2 emoticons.
5) How do you use your LLA in BH campaigns in terms of %? and to avoid overlapping...
6) Your method for scaling is interesting but it looks like some adsets dry out or don't convert as the main adset, how long do you wait till you kill them?
7) How do you deal with disapproved ads? Do you post immediately after some WH creatives?
8) Casino is still a good vertical?

I have noticed that many don't know where to click to get into the offer page, and they keep asking price/product/etc. Any tips to solve this problem?

Thanks again.

1. I think I shared this earlier
2. Yes it is
3. Yes, we try and avoid scheduling for BH, it puts the ad into a review list
4. Yes we do
5. I tend to not use LLAs for the BH campaigns anymore, but we used to. 3% and we vary the age to avoid overlapping
6. 2-3 days generally, I went through this in detail in a previous post about when to kill an ad
7. dupe and post wh creatives and aim for an appeal
8. Yep it is

Haha, yeah this happens a lot if you are getting the wrong audience..

1. Yeah leave it open for now
2. Lead gen
3. $10/day for each ad
4. Any ad should have at least 7 relevance
5. First get there
6. Pretty good once you have a decent funnel

Thanks for your time, I'd be a fool to pass up on this!

Thanks!

1. So you made a profit right?
2. Not until you have 100+ conversions
3. Yeah I have, focus on the gimmic than the product itself
4. If you're focusing on the deal, your LTV will be shit
5. Weekends naturally do worse
6. You need to play with a better budget
7. Not really

1. Not anymore
2. If that's happening, it means you have an engagement issue on your original ad, don't kill it, just accept it as is
3. I test with a variety of methods, I shared one earlier in this thread
4. We still use quiz landers
4. Still do conversion
5. I mean yeah, it has been for a while, but people still use them

Not 100% stupid question, but what is the Currency you are referring to ?

Rupiah ? Zimbabwe ? :D
If seriously is US dollar, oh wow that is real huge $$ to spent on Ads

It's dollar, actually we did way more than $5m, but I really don't like talking about my numbers, its' crass to do so.

hello bro ,

how can i create facebook ads threshold accounts ?

what?

My pages are getting unpublished instantly after creating an ad.Why?

Because your setup is wrong

Phew.

I just want to remind everyone, I will respond whenever I have time. This thread is built to last the whole of 2019 and potentially next year, so I will spread my responses out to manage my time better.

So carry on asking!

Best strategy for running MMO/bizz ops on FB ads?
Are you running MMO right now?

No I'm not, I know that it can get you banned so I want the best strategy to avoid this. Thanks

how much should i spend on fb ads and for how much period if my site is new and not ranked, i have limited resources and i want to use them wisely.
thanks in acvance for taking the time to help newbies like me :)

Not sure what about my response made you think I was creating an FB Ads course - but no. What a waste of time writing a huge question out - shoulda just asked noob questions everyone keeps asking - then wait 2-3 weeks for the answer. Worst ama...

Actually mr smart.ass, the reason I asked is because I don't help gurus, have a read of what you asked, it sounded like you're selling a fb ads course. I was going to give a full-indepth response as I have done to others, but if you're just going to be an asshole, I'm not going to. Good luck!

1) Have you ever promoted a blog, no selling just to drive traffic to it, through FB ads ? Is it a stupid thing to do ?

2) when you make t shirt ads do you still use a video ?

Thanks

Hey bro
I don't know exactly you know that or not but no worries ...... my question is on biz ops cpa offers with facebook ads .....this is very hard for me now to run biz ops with facebook ads after changing of facebook policy . Can you suggest any way to do it again with any method if you know ?

In respect to my share from jan 2018 (https://www.blackhatworld.com/seo/how-to-do-facebook-ads-in-2018-my-new-years-gift.1002589/) - instead of doing the same old garbage for 2019, I will be doing an ask me anything thread for facebook ads.

Some rules:

  • Don't ask me stupid questions about my specific campaigns/how much I make, as it's just childish/unproductive, but for your reference, as a team we have spent around ~$5m this year on fb ads (although november/december have been tough since we have been restructuring)
  • Don't ask me questions like "bro how do I run bh and make 20000000% ROI in 2019" - if I knew, I wouldn't share anyway
  • I'd prefer not to have my time wasted, so please be concise with your questions
  • Please refrain from pming me with your questions, as it's unfair on the rest, instead, just write the question here
  • Don't ask me about payment solutions/account supply, we have our own internal solution in house, and I'm not looking to sell/self-promote.
  • Please check the thread before asking the question, as your question may have already been answered

Ask away :)

Hey Man, I appreciated you helping out!

I have a question. Do FB ads really work? I have tried them a lot of times but always ended up getting some likes that always looked like crap and from fake profiles. I can send screenshots as well if I'll be able to find them since I did the last ad a year ago.
Even someone I know complained the same thing. He spent $25, drip feeded the ads for 5 days and he ended up getting some likes that were looking like hundred percent fake.

Can you tell me what I am doing wrong here?

First off THANK YOU for this thread!! :-)

Questions: * All refer to WH offers for an evergreen campaign *

1 - Do you own/operate an agency that we could pay to run our offer/ads Or can we pay you for advice privately?

2 - Once you establish your LLA's do you ever go open/broad or interest targeting for scale?

3 - Do you strictly adhere to FB's "at least 50 conversions" per adset to optmize as a hard rule? Meaning if you are optimizing for purchases and CPA is ex:$40 you would only run an adset at $40x50 conversions budget minimum for whatever conversion window you're using?

4 - Budget is $1k/day and we already have 6 different creative tested winners - better to have 1 large budget adset and let it optimize, 10 $100 adsets, 100 $10 adsets? Do you believe in lots of micro budget adsets or fewer larger ones?

5 - How many ads per adset? Nicholas Kusmich style @1 per, Tim Burd style and at least 3 dupe ads?

6 - Ever use the "shotgun/surfing" method when running ads?

7 - Evergreen campaign .. how do you approach that differently than a launch in terms of campaign structure?

8 - Do you strictly do purchase pixel LLA's?

8 - You're thoughts on Manual Bidding? Target Cost/Lowest Cost?

9 - Recommendations for trying to increase CR + being compliant while running a white hat fitness/diet program offer? Seems we're 100% compliant now but since we can't use KEY words, no claims, too much skin, or any verbiage that sells will violate TOS, our conversion rate has slipped. We had a 2-3% CR to cold traffic (13% retargeting) CPA was $38, AOV $60 but having a REAL hard time with our diet offer now to stay compliant.

THANK YOU THANK YOU THANK YOU!!

I see a lot of value in there. Gonna pick up some golden nuggets.

Q1: For print on demand products ( niche specific), should i go like on a bigger audience and narrow it down as it goes?

Q2: For the ad should i make a video?

Q3: Should i advertise with some influencers as my pixel will grow and after that, i can go to facebook?

Q4: Should i go with engagement post and then conversion? or directly with conversion?
