Looking to get into drop shipping but hearing its slowly dying. I have tons of pages on IG well over 100k followers and can drive traffic but wondering if I should aim at something else.

Anyone experienced with drop shipping who can point me towards the right direction?

Dropshipping or any business for that matter, is dead, for those who don't know what they're doing.
All these gurus are making people believe that this is some get rich quick thing. And we all know how those businesses or 'schemes' end up.
Treat it like a business, focus on brand building and take it slow. Most people make shitty website with no authority and they list shitty products. They run ads for probably $20 and conclude dropshipping is dead.

Dropshipping has been around for a while now and will be here as long as Ecom is there.

It is much harder to do because most of the products and methods got saturated. Anyone that says it is easy and quick they just want to sell you their already saturated methods for a few bucks.

As long as you keep updating and evolving with the changes, it's very much alive!

Well, the drop shipping easy method is dead. Now it's like any business, you can make thousands of dollars a month by doing this if you are good at this.
The competition is high but so are the rewards, you can't successfully dropship with 2-4 hours from the beginning you need much more to actually make a good income.

Good luck!!

I've gone on alibaba and contact the sellers that have high rating and length of time, and show sales metrics.
I found a second company with good wholesale prices.
Communication is difficult. It took three weeks to communicate to the contact that i wanted pictures to post
on my website. The first set of pictures were horrible and unusable an looked like screenshots taken from somewhere unknown. Finally got a catalog, and rep said go look at my website to buy the product.
I clearly stated I was going to sell the product on my site. So far I'm not proceeding.
I have two companies, and neither one I feel confidant about.
First company I contacted, I was doing web search and found competing company with the same picture, of the same product
at a cost that was $40 more than my wholesale price.
I'm done.

This really depends... Drop shipping is not dead, no. But buying products from foreighn countries that dont do refunds and take 3 weeks to ship, yea. Good luck on having a high % of returning customers. Unless you have an email list or established FB page for an interested audience, I would recommend staying away. Of course, unless you can fix the problems above.

No business is dies
A friend of mine started the marbles and granites business in 2018 and did well over $60M in sales..!!!
There are shit ton of factories out there but he still outperformed the established factories
You need to keep yourself updated and should have twists.
Yes you heard that right
You just need to be good at marketing

Go and look for a job instead of wasting time making money online

I think you probably have 100 fail for every one who succeed. I definitely believe if you work hard and make the right choices you can do it. I'm in the process of creating a drop shipping business. We'll have to see how it goes. I work and have another business so it'll be slow. So i will be looking on here for pointers and help all the way.
