Edit Since No One Knows How To Read: I don't think Jarvee did anything to my IG, I think it is possible that their database could have been compromised. That doesn't seem far fetched. I don't know exactly what happened obviously, I am just thinking of possibilities.
Thought this was odd: I have a 15k follower personal photo account, with original content, been running low settings on it with no problems forever. I checked it last night at 3 AM, everything was fine. Got an email shortly after and said "We noticed that someone else logged into your account and changed your username or profile information" then a secure your account button in the email. I looked at the account before doing anything with that email, I noticed that it was gone. I then clicked on that email from IG to secure it, took me to my other account when I clicked it, as my account was gone that fast.
I then tried logging in with my username, said didn't exist. So I used my phone number, it said something like "This account has been disabled for violating our terms of service", I navigated some bullcrap to find a dispute, it gave me an email to send in a picture with a code. Waiting to hear back from IG.
Not sure how this happened or what exactly happened. I had the 2 factor authentication on my phone, my password was something crazy, it would take forever to crack with software. I never got a code sent to my phone and my main email connected to the account wasn't notified, it was my backup email got the notification of a username change.
I think it's odd that my account was banned within minutes of my receiving an alert that my username was changed. I wonder what exactly happened. My friend had a personal account with 14k followers that had something similar happen last year, he had 2 factor authen on as well and they had him send in a pic with a code, then said they will not be unbanning the account.
Jarvee is the only thing that has my login, my friend was using it as well. It makes me think someone could have gotten into our accounts that way. I have a handful of 10k follower accounts from 2016 sitting and don't have them secured really at all, not hooked to anything; they haven't been touched by hackers.
