Best template theme for Wordpress.com free site (SEO wise) ?

Anyone here with a lot of experience using the free wordpress.com sites ? I have made a few of them in the last few days targeting similar keywords of similar competition and it appears as if the different theme vary a lot on the serps. I'm wondering if the different theme templates can have varying SEO optimization ? Anyone know what the best free themes are ?

I don't think there is a theme that will affect your SEO positively just by installing it
All your SEO results will depend on your content, structure and further optimization

Good optimization means elements on the page have the correct placement.

For example
- Heading of the page should be H1
- URL structure should be Pretty (aka you can put keyword in it). Not something like: /post-8412.php

Many themes don't care about this and make logo H1 and heading H2.

Then they might use H3 completely randomly for some silly element of the page.

You want page that does this right. And many do.

is that one a free wordpress.com theme ? I don't see it anywhere on there when I search it. You can't install downloaded themes on a free wordpress account right ? I think you need business plan.

The only direct impact a theme can have in terms of SEO is make your site load faster or slower. I'm pretty sure that all free wordpress themes have been optimized. You could always check top ranking wordpress sites and see which themes they are using (https://www.wpthemedetector.com).

Interlinking is linking to your website pages or posts from your website other pages or posts. Interlinking can be done with any relevant anchor of your linking article. But it affects very much in SEO and rankings. So choose the relevant anchors only
