[Journey] Make $125,000 in 24 hours through e-commerce

What's your say about the Filippo Loreti guys? They've been popping up on my feed a lot recently and they are very similarly priced to yours, other than the fact they were a Kickstarter starter project with a massive funding.

You mean you're interested in buying it? If yes, don't. Read how scammy and shaddy the company is. And how shitty their watches actually are, just cheaply made chinesse watches. But marketing is 11/10, I agree.

Not at all interested in their stuff. Made the question since op and those guys are in the same niche and in the same price bracket as well

O.p has already started racking up $$$$$, let's hope he updates after blackfriday
Though Op has mentioned 24 hours, we can wait till the end of cyber monday, since the amount is huge.

Yup. Waiting for the update

Hope you made it

Hooooly.. I got crushed.

All you haters will love this - and it's on me.

Things went bad. Fast. Poor update in this thread due to the massive workload + new projects, and I'm terribly sorry for that. My first journey thread and I can't say I'm proud of it - but after things settled I'll do thorough posts of everything that was done.

So. How did it go?
Well, bad. Didn't reach the goal. Not close to it, really. $45.000 so far, but from previous experience, the weekend is kinda slow - and Cyber Monday will generate another 20k or so.

Why, what happened?
I wanted to try a low-cost Black Friday (since PPC ads are craaazy expensive during Black Friday - especially in the luxury niche). Wanted to see how far low budget could take you, as the data (and experience) is super helpful for new ventures that might not have money in the bank.

Everything was planned to perfection. Ranked #1 for the best keywords. For several months.

Then in jumps competition. And they fucking demolished us.

There are probably better SEO people than me that can explain why this happened - but our page was ranking top 5 since May, and #1 for three months. Then this^ happened which wasn't in my plan.

So all in all - it didn't go as planned. I'm not mad, I'm quiet excited about it because it means we can do even better next year. I certainly learned my lesson and will do my best to make sure we're better suited for next year.

What now?
Still got a few hours left of Black Friday, and then Cyber Monday. I don't expect any miracles but will continue as normal with ads, retargeting, email blasts and other experiments. Testing @netalgo122 's services for Reddit with decent success too.

You didn't reach your goal but you learned a lot. Congrats anyway ! It's still impressive numbers.

Dude don't worry about it it's still one of the best journey threads here.

How much net profit on that $45,000? It seems there was a lot of work and time involved in this journey but we'd like to know how much time and money did it take?

If it took 200 hours and $30,000 in marketing, advertising, software, etc. to make $45,000 then maybe you lost money?

Did you check if the site was HIT BY negative SEO?

That's still some impressive amount of money very few are able to earn in a short period of time.
What's the profit out of it?

Thanks buddy!

Oh, far from it. Really disappointed with the quality of this thread. I'll be better in the future, for sure.

Good question. I did a quick check now - spent is about $3200 (give or take). As I said in the update, I wanted to try a low-cost campaign. Our previous BFs have been $10-20k in spendings with approximately the same results, so I'm still kinda happy about that!

Did you check if the site was HIT BY negative SEO?

Yup. It was not. Just good competitors!

Thanks!
Earnings - spendings is about $40k so far.

There was a Google update a few days back so that might have lowered your rankings.

Quick question, was it the keywords you ranked for that brought in most of the traffic/sales to your website for conversions, or was it your other sources like Amazon that brought in the majority of the traffic/sales?

Looks like someone blasted you with spammy links and maybe ranked his site with a parasite to make some quick bucks for Black Friday, that's what i would think atleast.

The keywords brought us very, very little. I was estimating $50k in sales from the keywords, but that was based on our ranks not diving to page 2.

So it was majority other sources (Reddit, FB, Instagram, Amazon, Affiliates).

Nope - no negative SEO was made, and no parasite sites are ranking. Just really, really good competitors. Kudos to them.

It's an extremely hard niche against large companies. I'm still super happy we were able to rank at all for it - and excited to build the rankings for BF even stronger for next year. Nobody beats me twice :p

you've had a remarkable experience. Tganks for sharing this journey with all of us. We appreciate u.Ive learnt a lot. Meanwhile the best I ever earned was 15k from online. It was actually 3k that became 15k when btc just skyrocketed last year. I m working to hit good figures again. You are a real boss of IM

Do you think news sites came onto the top ranks on Google?

I have been following this journey since the start and was applying on my websites.

Same thing happened with me.

News sites took over my rankings.

Same happened with you? Or some badass SEOs took over?

Btw, really enjoyed the journey. Let's prepare for Christmas now :)

Good luck for that journey ;)

Yes, absolutely. News sites & youtube are the main ones. My most knowledgeable friend regarding SEO (shoutout @BlackBDO) thinks it's due to AdWords ads.

We ranked #1 constantly. No AdWords ads were running on that search phrase, so our CTR was high.

Then companies starts running ads, and users sees their ad before our organic result - which lowers our CTRs. Google thinks we're not that relevant anymore and pushes us down.

Anyway, that's just a theory. I'm not the best at SEO to know if that's true or not, but makes sense.
