Motivation on low sleep days?

I dunno how you guys manage with 5 hrs of sleep. I need atleast 8 hours of sleep lol. I must be missing out on something.

Na, I just didn’t expect a reply from a bot who’s only objective is increasing post count.

Haven’t slept 8 hours more than maybe... 3 times in over 10 years. And those 3 times I had so much energy that I literally couldn’t contain it. I didn’t get shit done.

6-6.5 is the sweet spot for me, any less I’m tired, anymore I’m too energetic and cant get focused.

Guys that is working out, You can workout with 5-6h of sleep? the quality of your workout will be shit

My theory is that anyone who says they can consistently function at full capacity with less than 7 hours of sleep per night is simply not telling the truth or does not know what it feels like to get a good night of sleep because their health is in the gutter and they are always tired. I've never met one of these magical people who can function on 4, 5, or 6 hours a night, yet it seems that half the people of the internet can do so.

Totally false... an adult human only needs 6 hours of sleep to function. If you’ve never met someone so can function on only 6 hours sleep, well...

A) You don’t know any entrepreneurs.
or
B) You don’t have many friends.

There’s no “magic”. It’s genetics. The human body only needs 6 hours of sleep. Especially if you’re able to achieve REM sleep consistently in cycles.

I can say with absolute certainty that 99% of the time I sleep only 6 hours (usually wake up on the dot, at 6 hours, but sometimes 6.5), run 2-3 miles / day, and have never had a problem with lack of energy.

It’s only when I’m running on 4-5 there’s a problem.

For me, 5 hours, even 5.5 hours, is wayyyy different than 6 hours.

I run 2-3+ miles a day on 6 hours sleep... no idea what you’re talking about. I’ve honestly never even heard of so many people thinking 6 hours of sleep isn’t enough.

I actually tend to look at people who require over 6 as lazy. There’s simply no need to sleep more than 6 hours per night... unless you’re lazy.

Just sleep 8 hours and the time start for sleep 9pm!

No. You people are absolute mad if you think 8 hours of sleep is needed. I can’t sleep 8 hours even with sleeping pills.

My body forces me to wake up after 6-6.5. 8 hours of sleep is for lazy people. Think about it - I’m gaining 14 more hours of productivity per week... and I have the exact same amount of energy as you.

Post count in The Lounge - yeahhhh.

On topic: I'm one of the guys who loves his sleep hours and can't cut on them

I go to bed around noon and sleep until 9:30/10 AM every day. I don't use an alarm.

If I have to wake up some day earlier but I still get my 8 hours of sleep - I'm fine.

Anything less than 8 hours feels bad throughout the day.

I've had days when I've slept for 6-7 hours and then I just can't hold it and take a nap for a few hours in the afternoon.

P.S. my body doesn't like caffeine

1. Convince yourself that you had good sleep, even if you didn't
2. Motivation is fleeting, discipline is king

I sleep 8 hours/day at least if I want to function well..

However, I have 2 friends who have been sleeping 4 h/day for years and they are doing pretty good

However, I must clarify, they do it because they have to.. you know, many duties working as professors, doibg researches, patients waiting in hospital ..etc

Their day is pretty crowded, so, this is the most they can get anyway

Probably I need 8 hours of sleep because I'm doing intense exercise every day and I'm an athlete so I need better recovery, but I strongly believe in productivity and I think with 7-8h of sleep you are much better if the sleep is high quality.

I'm getting lazy which I don't like. I used to be up at 4:30 now I'm not. I'm getting up at 7 lately and I dislike. I will be back to my previous routine or I will lack.

I'm rocking my kettlebells.
It gives me an amazing kickstart when I need it.

That’s just sad... 6 years ago you’d never see this many people on BHW sleeping 8 hours. This new generation of wantrepreneurs is so f’ing lazy.

My family is pretty much all entrepreneurs, many of them wealthy, and even the older people like my dad don’t sleep over 6-6.5 hours.

I get 14+ more hours of productivity than you every week with the exact same amount of energy from sleeping 6 -6.5 hours. You just have to get used to sleeping 6. It’s plenty of sleep.

I tend to sleep more than 8 hrs lol. Some days even 10-12 hrs.

But I saw your post about your PBN, maybe it keeps you up at night.

Ahh does it mean when as my PBN grows, I will have to be more stressed out and will end up sleeping 6 hrs a day? haha
