I do this for one of my sites. A lot of people do it. I just make sure the content is decent quality and of course I publish articles without links too. I don't want the site to look like a farm for sponsored/guest posts, I just mix it up.
For me it's $100 per post.
Most of these people reaching out for Guest posts don't seem to even know what DR is, they simply go off DA, so it's easy to attract people once you have a decent DA. The DA on my site is 40 so get quite a few per week.

You will never know until you do, it seems like a great idea as long as your site looks like a proper site and not a link farm.
I have an old bingo website that I keep just for link selling. Its crazy the prices some agencies will spend on guest posts.

You build your DA by building more backlinks, but DA is a very very poor metric, which a lot of people believe is gospel. So it's simple to take advantage of when it comes to selling guest/sponsored posts.

Why stop at TLD PBNs? I see this method could work for creating premium quality Web 2.0 properties. Look for and review the top 3 web sites (great traffic, metrics, professional look) accepting guest posts in your niche. Then get one or more expired Web 2.0 properties with high metrics (DA/TF/RD) and use them to clone the guest post sites (putting in at least enough content to get started).
Set up your guest post/write for us page, and you're in business, with no ongoing domain or hosting costs. Or you can create 10 or more pro-looking properties like this per niche, and you can also sell contextual links using your Web 2.0 network.

Do you put countless links on a site? or have a limited quantity? if one site have a limited quantity such as 50 guest links a site, which means should I build a lot of sites to reach $1000 per month?

Ratio of OUTBOUND links to No links at all or only linking out to authority websites is 1: 2 .
That tells you I write more contents about the niche to make up with GP..

I did this as well. But it's not for every niche actually. I am ranking no. 1 right now for "niche"+ guest post or any other relevant terms. I got a request as well but not like to earn $400-$500/month.
True actually but this is not the main site I believe. People whoever selling links for money definitely not using the core money site. I am using one of my testing site which is doing good. If it gets penalized for that I have no issue.

@Topiano, can you please suggest me what will be the average DA, TF and other metrics to consider while buying expired domain. (minimum metrics for guest post)

I try as much to look for DA PA = 25+ , TF could be15+ as well.
Yes , it helps improving outreaching rate. Ideally you should have a KW related to you niche in the domain name when selecting one.

Just wondering how hard the competition is? If you google "guestpost + niche" youll notice many high DR sites with published guestposts. Do you rather try to grab longtails that have more "looking for guestpost" intent?
Nope , Just the seed will . Most time these top pages are not targeting the KW. You just need to put in the word to rank your page for it.
