Write down your username and pass, go to VM instances in Google cloud platform and see your instance's ip. Then just add /wp-admin at the end. For example: 192.168.1.1/wp-admin

They are google, they can afford free trials so there is no catch really.

I have created an account on google cloud and choose Ubuntu 16.04 Let's as my image/os and allocated resources to it (30gb hdd, 1 vcpu and 3.75 ram). I want to know if there's any way I can delete the Ubuntu 16.04 and replace it with Ubuntu 18.04 Lts ?

Not sure, but you can simply create a new instance
