I don't get it, I was doing fine for a few days but now I can't get a single lead. I have to wait until my sites make more money from pop ups before investing because if I keep investing my own money I'll end up wasting all that I gained.

Mr sow, can you send me an example of your landing pages and how you target ads? I feel like I must be doing something wrong, since whatever I do I always do it wrong and fail at it. No fish like my bait.

Maybe I'll move on to something else.

I tried both tier 1 and tier 2 countries in separated, tried all types of adult related categories and i also tried to always be in the top 5 bidders, (with bids between 0.002 to 0.007) . Don't do T1 if you don't have a budget. Do T2 and T3 countries instead. They are a lot cheaper. Also make sure you are blocking sites that are wasting your money..

Running 12k clicks and saying "I have tried all types of countries" is kinda funny, sorry. You need to test with A LOT more traffic. Be happy to have that good conversion rate.

Smartlinks could be profitable on purchased pop traffic only if an offer is really hot, prelanders are not too saturated and traffic is cheap.
90% of people use smartlinks to spam social networks like instagram (works the best) and monetize traffic from their own websites, any form of free traffic.
Because, with smartlink you can't use full tracking features from your tracker, you don't track clicks on prelander, you don't get any data and can't analyze. I bet you don't use tracker at all.
Start with choosing the tracker and setup your own prelanders+offers, get the test data and analyze to optimize campaign if you really want to make money from pop traffic.

Try focusing on one country if possible and run more traffic (avoid T1). Also, as I said before, don't forget to track everything. The most important thing of pops is tracking.

is that for CPA is always a little more complicated friend, are more things that you should do, there is also another way to use pop traffic, with CPM, it is easier, when you find the ideal segmentation

Before you spend any more money you must set up tracking. Doing pops without tracking is just throwing money out of the window. Tracking is #1 thing when doing pops.

that's good results, you invested 40USD and you made 6$ in return, but i suggest you do that with direct offer not a smart link so you can optimise and scale your campaign and make more profits.
use Bemob tracking tool they have a free plan with limited visitors monthly that's perfect for you as a start.

I've tried sweepstakes and those "your phone may have a virus" download things. It's just not working for me anymore, I have no idea what I'm doing wrong.

5 clicks yesterday, 4 today, 0 leads. Between 700 - 1,000 impressions per day.

Pop up networks aren't exacting spending my budget though, I guess mobile has a lot less traffic.

I'm gonna try go back to linking straight to the offer and not using a shitty landing page, at least that was somewhat successful.

If this fails, then I've been wanting to try out thrashing "viral" articles on Facebook ads.

Mobile has TONS of pops traffic. Which service are you using?

Also, I'd suggest split testing a direct link and lp combo. Keep in mind that you should run at least 3 landing pages and ideally 3 or more offers. Just because 1 lp and offer doesn't work doesn't mean it doesn't work at all. With pops you need to keep trying many many offers and landing pages.
