How much bounce rate is good for a website ?

As a rule of thumb, a bounce rate in the range of 26 to 40 percent is excellent. 41 to 55 percent is roughly average. 56 to 70 percent is higher than average, but may not be cause for alarm depending on thewebsite. Anything over 70 percent is disappointing for everything outside of blogs, news, events, etc.

In my opinion, as @Scritty said, it really depends on the niche, but also on the type of the landing pages. I am working some niches where average bounce rate is 70% (a lot of individual final pages, inside of a dozen categories), but also some niches with average bounce rate below 30% (eg. product comparisons). I don't stress out targeting global bounce rates, I aim being better than the niche average.

But to answer your question, your bounce rate is great in any niche. I would dig a bit into data to evaluate the flow of visitors, how much time they spend on the page before they go to another, where do they exit, are there any redirects in place... If everything is as it should be, it will help you replicate it in other projects
 
Every website should have at least 40% to 55% average bounce rate. Content is the main factor for that.
 
Actually, this is a decent rate. You should panic if it goes more than 40.

Lot of nonsense reactions here. A bounce-rate of 5% is a freaking wet dream!
Acceptable bounce rates are 40-50%. Forums for example will always have a lower bower rate <20% and websites which are one big scrolling page have a high bounce rate. A better way to measure the user interaction for these pages is the average time people spent on these pages.
 
5 % for real? I am super happy if it is under 20-30 % for my sites. If it is under 40-50 %, then it's good, but 5 % is really impressive!

If its 5% your GA script is most likely being loaded twice. See it all the time. If its under 20% and you have done 0 testing to get it there its generally broken.
 
Bounce rate is typically thought of as a quick way to measure user engagement (through meeting the user’s needs and usability), and gateways are often contrary to everything other than aggravating people. Under 20% is highly unlikely. 20 to 25 percent is certainly possible, but don’t hand out gold stars until digging around a little bit. It’s important to remember the baseline for a “good” bounce rate will vary from site to site. Look at traffic segments and group content. And you should care about the metric, just not necessarily compared to other websites.
