Does direct traffic affect my google ranking?

Yes as long as your bounce rate isn't crazy high. Tricking a user via YouTube comments "visit my site for a free iphone at scam dot com" and then they leave 2 seconds after seeing its a scam - Probably won't help lol

It might help depending on traffic quality and content, tho you test with different niches and different traffic, try to experiment, you will get to know on what niches or sites the direct traffic boosts your ranking.

WTF? It doesn't help, unless you have Google Analystics, even with Analystics I'm not sure.


The only way it can help is : if your visitors like your content and share it on social media or on their website

Direct traffic isn't even a stat that Google has the capacity to track (for the most part).

CTR seems to have an impact, but not direct traffic.
