CPA + Instagram [Converting New Leads]

Hey everyone,

Very nice to meet you all, and if anyone has questions I'm more than happy to answer.

After doing a ton of research I decided to embark on my own CPA + IG journey like many others here on BHW. And here's what that looks like...

I currently am running 52 Instagram accounts, focused on about 3-4 main niches and then some individual accounts.

For the main niches, I have a set up landing page for collecting opt-ins. None are OGads related.

For example..IG account about bodybuilding...leads to landing page about getting some kind of free bodybuilding resource (PDF of how to maximize muscle growth)....leads to me getting their email address and going into an autoresponder funnel in GetResponse.

Almost all of the 52 accounts are set up in this way other than a few which send traffic to my shopify store, and a couple of others going directly to advertiser landing page, because I was lazy to build the whole process out.

I've had some conversions...about 4 to be exact, totalling so far around $170 and I've been doing this for about 1.5 months.

BUT, and this a BIG BIG BUT...

None of those have come from the autoresponder sequence. They've all come from the random "left behind" niches, sending traffic direct to advertiser landing page.

Why is this bad? No consistency whatsoever.

Does ANYONE HERE have some experience with writing out these autoresponder sequences to have the best chance of conversion?

I have about 100 leads for each of the 3-4 niches that I am focused on, and I collect more daily, but in a way, I feel like each of my leads just ends up going into a funnel that'll never convert.....

What do you all think!?

depends on your pipeline: how many IG followers total on the 52 accts?? That can help explain and allow you to use proper metric analysis

300-400 opt-ins in a month and a half is a solid start, but you're right, 4 conversions from that is low. If they're opting in for a pdf on muscle growth are you then trying to sell them on a fitness pill? Have you split tested your autoresponses? Are you getting clicks from there? Are the autoresponse emails even being opened?

Right of course. So, they're different niches. 9 are bodybuilding accounts, bringing in like 20-25 emails per day, 17 are dog niche accounts bringing in about 10-12 leads per day, and 7-8 are woodworking accounts bringing in like 8-10/day. All together it's like 40-50 per day. For those 40 accounts, it ranges from 500-2000 followers. It's all just a month and a half old, which is why the accounts aren't that big yet. I definitely see more opt-ins more recently since follower growth has increased.

Even worse is that the 4 conversions weren't from the opt-ins. That's the down side. They just happened randomly from my IG account --> Advertiser LP traffic.
Let's say they opt in for the muscle growth PDF. I use the advertiser's (the one who gave me the PDf as a free resource to offer to my traffic) email swipes. It's 8 emails (for that specific product) and is a digital product. Not trying to sell physical products but of course always open to whatever makes money. I haven't split tested auto responses...just wondering if GetResponse offers that at my account level. With regards to clicks, I DO get some clicks depending on the niche and email, but it's usually to the 'value' filler stuff I put in the emails as opposed to the product. My open rates are pretty good, just about every email across all niches are getting 30%+. Literally wish I had a done-for-you post-opt-in email funnel with a decent conversion rate. LOL - I can create an audience on IG successfully around any freaking niche, and get my opt-ins, but those emails...tough!

Hello, can I ask for your targeting for the dog accounts? I am growing mine but it is hard to find accounts to target that arent using crappy automation and have a bunch of fake followers.

Good point.
Difficult to know but you can use a social blade alternative to make sure that they're continuing to get new followers daily.
There's a few strategies you can take.
1) Find accounts clearly promoting your affiliate product
2) Find accounts that are huge influencer dog accounts
3) Find accounts that relate very closely to your affiliate product niche

e.g. - dog training --> Find local dog trainers that have IG accounts and follow their followers

i know what to look for, I am more asking for how. How do i find real. legit influencer and affiliate pages without bought followers/likes. Or if you have any target sources you have used.

You’re making this too complicated.
If you are worried about accounts that have fake stuff just go and find accounts that are less likely to do that.
For example..if dog training is your niche..choose a random city and search in google for dog trainers in that city. Preferably big cities like Chicago, Los Angeles, New York if you are focusing on America.
Then just check to see if those dog trainers have accounts in Instagram.

It’s super unlikely that a legit dog trainer from a major city will try to grow a fake following.

Most of the fake stuff comes when people try to do influencer like pages. If you can find brand pages related to your niche you will be fine
