Is that a time for something new? Ruined IG?

Hi guys,

As the first please understand me, that my "story" is about smaller numbers of followers etc. than many users have there. I'm doing IG page in Czech language for a smaller comunity (10 mil people)

In the summer 2016 I've started with some Ig pages - manually follow about 300 people per day. After month I had 2000 followers and started using bot. I did a motivational content, shared travel pics and many more. I didnt have lot of time during my studies, but I daily made about 10-30 new followers.

In the end of 2017 I had a 17 000 followers.. Everything was gooood.. 6000 views on every story, 8000 views on photos, 800 likes per photo...

BUT NOW?

I do everything in the same time, share better quality of pictures, share min. 1 post per day... but I dont see some profress there. In the last half of year I'm losing about 10 followers per day and new 10 come, so i have the same number of dollowers for 6 months, the views on stories dropped down and I have only 2500 views on story, 500 likes on posts.



I feel like the time is stopped and I have still the same account as I had NO PROGRESS for a 6 months.. I dont know if this problem is because of the new algorithms, boring content, many more people on ig.. but It doesnt work as It worked last year

Do you have some experiences with that? :O

I would like to shed some light on that. If you use proper hashtags and still not getting the likes that you were getting before then it's clearly a sign of "Shadowban". Instagram does that when you use a blacklisted hashtag or overuse a highly popular hashtag.

Regarding the drop of your followers, it's clearly due to database cleanup. Instagram regularly cleans up its databases to remove inactive users. They often ban spam accounts too so it's a natural thing that happens to everyone, you are not alone. Even the highly influential people on Instagram lose thousands of followers overnight. That's simply because of that database cleaning process.

I may be wrong but the reason why your story views are going down is that your audience is not that active anymore as it used to be.

Instagram's Algorithm is ever evolving. Definitely look into your metrics and see if you are getting many explore impressions. If not, try lowering your usage of hashtags if you use a lot, and if you use none, try using 3-5. Look into using a small powerlike network, or an engagement group. Also be sure to engage with your followers. Instagram loves a team player.

Check your shadowban by putting hashtags in your caption - not the 1st comment. Only use a few - have a friend who is not following your page (or use another page of your own) and check and see if it's showing up in the tags.

It seems like IG makes some changes every 6-8 weeks...I see ups and downs in a fairly predictable manner...just gotta ride the wave my friend and try new things.
