This method uses Scrapebox with the Yell addon but if you read through it you can probably see how it could be twisted to work with various tools and services.

I like to think I know what I'm doing in FB Ads Manager and Power Editor. I use it for myself and my clients and overall spend tens of thousands of dollars a year on it. But this method beats any careful selection of audience possible.
No matter how good you are at choosing demographics, topics, interests etc from within the ads manager - this method will absolutely SMASH it. Think in terms of a conversion rate improvement of 10x as a starting point if you do this right.
And it's not that hard.

This method as described here works best for B2B - however if you are selling any product or service that has a large online community on blogs or forums then you can use a very similar technique

Scrapebox has a built in email grabber - however the paid Addon email grabber and verifier is better and also verifies the emails and does dome fancy URL generation which is very good for getting deep into forums to grab those individual email addresses.

This little method is more for B2B - so adapt and enjoy :)

Go to Yell or YP or whichever is appropriate and see what tags your likely customers are indexed under. If you are selling Amazon Fridge Freezers for example you might go "Frozen Food" "Wholesale Food Distributors" or "Food Delivered". Make a note of these categories.
Next

Fire up Scrapebox and fire up the Yell addon (if you are doing B2B)
Go for the largest region possible with one keyword from your category list at a time. Once you poick the global region for whatever YP directory you are scraping then the addon will only allow on keyword category anyway - so you may need to repeat this step. No biggie

Use proxies if needed, run on 1 thread if you only have 10 or 20 proxies, put delays in as well. Leave this to simmer for a long time for best results.

It will likely scrape thousands of businesses in the field I'm selling to (for B2B) - then use the improved email scraper addon to grab and verify emails from the sites it scrapes.

This is a long process. Scraping Yell needs to be done slowly to preserve proxies, but it can be done. I use a VPS and allow several days to scrape - say 150,000 websites worldwide using the US, UK and Canadian Yell, then another 18-24 hours to go three levels deep grabbing and verifying emails from these sites giving me about a half a million verified emails after dupes are removed.
IMPORTANT

Then remove generic job title based emails (webmaster, info, admin, sales, contact etc) that might leave me with 150,000 emails.

This is REALLY important as if you leave this on the next step will not work and you might even get a slap from Facebook

Then save the trimmed and verified list as a CSV file.

All this removal and stuff is much quicker in a spreadsheet. If you don't have Excel download Open Office or use Google Sheets. Both free.
  1. Save your list in CSV or TXT format
  2. Crack open Facebook
  3. Top right dropdown arrow (right at the top of the screen) select Ad Manager
  4. Go to the Audiences tab in Ads Manager
  5. Click the Create Audience button and select the Custom Audience option
  6. Upload the CSV or TXT file list you previously saved
  7. Your custom audience will be ready in about 30 minutes

Now market your product to this audience and make money.

Very informative post.

I would add that phone numbers can be used as an addition to email targeting. The best part about phone numbers is that they are in abundance on YP, when compared to emails.

The downside is that (I think) there are no scrapebox add-ons that could scrape phone numbers...or are they ? (not an expert in scrapebox)

Yes - it has it's own Regex scraper built in called "custom scraper". There are some resources online that give you the regex masks for most common phone number formats (so you don't need to know regex - just how to copy and paste :) ). Load them into the custom scraper and let them loose on the scraped URLs

Great post OP!
I have a question though, let's say that I'm doing B2C rather than B2B, if I'm understanding currently I just need to use Scrapebox with my keywords
and then just wait right?

hey Scritty, i have a shopify store, but i cant figure out how some people in my group are selling the same exact item as me and the and they sold over 20,000 of this item a couple of months ago, its a makeup organizer, so either he was retargetting or maybe had a huge email list from prior, but he sold over 20k of this "360 makeup organizer cabinet" while i was only selling 3-5 a day and he also knew he was going to do that so he didnt even drop ship it, he ordered the bunch from alibaba and knew he was going to do those big numbers, theres some type of shopify blackhat techniques out there and this might be 1 of them :) thank you, my main question where can i get good private proxies from for a good price? i paid for the "private internet access" service which is basically using proxies from different regions in the US and all over the world, can i connect to them and find there IP and add it to Scrapebox? or its only meant for the program that i use? and thanks for the help

There are some good proxy sellers in the seller section here on BHW.

As for the huge sales. Almost certainly social media.
I would guess he's paid an influencer to post 3 or 4 Tweets or Facebook posts and paid them perhaps $500 to do it. I've used influencers for clients before now for a few hundred dollars they've posted to audiences of half a million. Getting Youtube makeup blogger or a Facebook makeup page to post a link to your offer is a massive bonus.
The really good Amazon sellers tend to start as very specialised and again it's a case of who you know. Go into Facebook and type in "Beauty Products"

Look at this page that has not been posted to for 7 months and has 1.2 million page followers. wwwDOTfacebookDOTcom/makemebeauty4u/ (Replace the DOTs)
Get in touch. Offer them $50 if you can post. Better, ask them to make you temporary admin so you can promote the post to page likers. Put another $50 in that and post a good creative with your best offer.

Ok maybe not exactly do this, but you get the idea. This page is making no cash at the moment, and has 1.2 million followers. It took me 2 minutes to find.

Get out there son and dig for gold!!!

Great guide to target specific people. You made my day more iluminating :D

no its not that, im telling you there some sort of way, some sort of technique that people are doing as a matter of fact, young kids, aging from 18-23 in my group, which is 1 of the biggest shopify facebook groups on facebook, let me ask another question, with the scrapebox. you dont think its possible that they are basically scraping up all the email in these beauty pages and making custom audiences and selling it to them?? for example i was doing research after i read your thread and i found a few programs similar to scrapebox for example check out this one fbaudienceblasterDOTcom, it basically scrapes info from fb pages and groups, let me know what you think about it?

Yes you can scrape those as well.
I have a client who used to sell horse tack (she's very ill now unfortunately so isn;t doing it this year :( ) Anyway we paid two FB influencers in 2014. Both with around 100,000 followers - pretty small cheese in the big scheme of things.
She went from selling 8 or 9 bits of kit a week to having almost 3,500 orders in 6 weeks, hiring an extra member of staff and turning the £300 (UK) we spent on getting the influencers involved into about £45,000 in sales. I don't know her profit margin but it was decent. 50% ish I would have thought.

But yes, you can scrape whatever you want. I have several custom REGEX scripts. If you Google "regex for facebook" you'll find hundreds you can plug into Scrapebox custom scraper. It would take 5 minutes at the most.

i dealt with instagram influeners, nowadays there are so many of them that you cant even tell anymore there so good at keeping it hidden, before (about 6-7 ago it was alot easier, with influeners) but now there are huge companies that hire VA to sit there and make instagram profiles in different niches and they do it so perfect now you can t even tell, they got the engagment on track, they got the follower to like ratio spot on, but when you use them (for example the last few times i tried , maybe over a month ago i paid 2 instagram influencers with about 200k-300k in the pet niche, i got 30 clicks to .my dog collar product page from 1 and like 18 clicks from the other, so that is over with, the only way you can do it now is with B and C listers and search 5times deeper and you wont even be able to know if they are real or not, anyway so like i said there is def some kind of technique that they use and i know for a fact 1 of them is making free plugins for shopify and having the developer sneak up a virus in the plugin so that when people who run ads via fb, this plugin spys on the ad and sees exactly what product, interest and country is being targeting along with all the other demographics and they use it until it burns out, i know another example the last 4-5 months you could basically choose a 1 big broad interest and narrow it down with Engaged Shoppers and you would get so many conversions, but everybody knows about that now because what they do these kids is after 1 technique is blown they release it in a video and it provides value for the late comers and they start followig these kids on youtube and then they build up a following of avg 30-40k subscriber and the smart start making courses for $300-$500-$1000 and people buy them and the courses are all profit and with the courses they open up a facebook group and from there if they do it the right way they start making 70k-100k a month for about a year or so and then they take it to the next level and so on, but still i know in just my group which is 1 of the best shopify groups on facebook theres ALOT of ppl making 3k-5k a day easily, i just dont know what maybe it is the scrapers, but i can also tell u another thing a HUGE part in shopify is the pixel, you build it up properly for 3-4 months thats all you need, you just pick a niche and do a lookalike audience and thats it, but my point is there are so many tactical blackhat techniques out there, i just wish i knew them sooner.... as you can see i named you already severel, but the train has past on them, theres new ones out there and i am trying to get ahead of it and provide the value. 1 person i screwed up with is Kevid David when i start with Amazon FBA last summer, now hes on auto pilot and a multi millionare in 1 year with over 100k subscribers, hes just works 1 hr a day and makes hes 200k a month easy if not more

I think that the uploading of big giant list 2 Facebook is a great idea. However when I try to do this, they wanted extra data like country code, name, etcetera. How do you do this when all you have is just the emails?

one of the best tool scrap box? I read many threads Regarding about Scrab box.:) great one OP

Sorry to pull this out of the depths of 2019 but do you still use this method ? I'm wanting to do exactly the same thing with my scraped data but lots of red flags going off in me head - can this be done on a fresh facebook page, if the landing page i'm advertising to has no traffic to it will facebook reference that as suspicious so should i avoid connecting facebook pixel etc..

Would appreciate a reply if you're still around!
