Not getting confirmation mails when registering in directories.

I seem to be having a problem. Whenever I use the mail that is on my domain I am not getting e-mails from some directories. Which means I cant finish registering and cant create backlinks. Do you have any idea why I am not getting these mails ? The configuration of the firewall, the configuration of the mail client ? Something else ?

One possible reason is these directories are not actively giving free links, so email confirmation is turned off.

Do you think that can change in time because they used to send conf mails a while also if I use a different mail like gmail or protonnmail they send a confirmation however I want to so use the domain mail

I use only .com domains

Whenever I use the mail that is on my domain

if it is only on your domain and not on for example yahoo or gmail then the issue lies with your own mail setup on your hosting/dns/domain/email client etc
try checking directly in your server mailbox rather then using a client to eliminate
send an email to own domain email to check if received

By client do you mean Gmail, Yahoo or something like SquirrelMail, Roundcube, iRedmail, WebMail Lite ? Also thanks for the suggestion I didn't think of that.

Most free directories take months to confirm. If you opt their paid plans, you can get confirmed within days

As I said whenever I use an email like Gmail, Yahoo I get the conf mail however as soon as I register using [email protected] the mail is nowhere to be found despite requesting a resend

That's a spam and anti-bot protection on their end. Allowing only higher end email providers and disallowing custom domains and shittier providers is pretty common nowadays. It sucks, but can't really be avoided. At least I am not aware of any way.

Your best bet is to use some less known providers and hope they are not blocked. Openmailbox, Tutanota, etc.

Wouldn't using a custom Gmail with my domain name be the same or is there something in the mail header that gives information about the mail client used ?

Could be any of these reasons

1- Their emailing isn't functional
2- Your domain isn't approving the incoming emails. If you are using cpanel and RBL check is turn on, emails that originates from blacklisted IPs are deferred or trashed.
3- They are not sending you an email that you don't meet their criteria or something.

I think perhaps you can get better chances if you use a yahoo, gmx or gmail account - disable the spam filter or antivirus and that would have better success ratio in receiving those emails. There could be a chance where the WHM/Cpanel may already be filtering those email quitely through its spam modules - something called spam assassin or something that may be block the email or email IP.
Another thought would be some of these directories are no longer working, and hence no email sent. Or if the directory's hosting server's IP is blacklisted or not registered properly, and they may not be sending emails out correctly.
