[METHOD] Learn How To Make Your First $100 Online

Everyday someone on BHW creates a topic stating he or she cannot earn a dime online.

What's the right answer to those threads? Go work at McDonalds!

But today I felt gracious and decided to spend some time explaining what actually stands behind your inability to make money online and how to fix it. Don't think this is another theory thread, I am going to give you the exact step-by-step instruction how to earn your first $100.

So... when you tell you cannot earn money online, what does it actually mean? It means you don't want to work. As simple as that. Anyone willing to learn & work can make money online. Making money online might be hard but not impossible. An entry barrier might be high but you still can enter.

Enough theory, here's my method for you:

Creating a blog and monetizing it

Step 1

Create a self-hosted wordpress blog. Choose any simple theme. Install common plugins like SEO friendly URLs, cache, image optimizer and so on. These are not exact names, you can find information how to setup a wordpress blog elsewhere. If you are doing this for the first time, expect to spend 4-5 days or maybe more setting everything up.

Step 2:

Start writing about Bitcoin.
Why bitcoin? Bitcoin is a trending industry, the volume of related searches in Google increases steadily. People want to learn about it and understand it better. The competition is not yet overly high and the topic is complex enough to never run out of interesting things to write about.

What to write about?
Here are some examples:
  • Write about bitcoin exchanges, what are pro's and con's of every exchange?
  • Compare different bitcoin wallet software to each other.
  • Explain how to buy bitcoin online.
  • Explain the best way to buy bitcoin in every country. Did you know that there is an enormous interest towards bitcoin in Nigeria?
  • Explain blockchain to people in simple terms
  • Explain how blockchain can be applied besides bitcoin
  • and so on.... I just pulled these topics out of my ass and spent only 30 seconds doing it. You can think of lots more if you put some time in it.
What if I cannot write in English? Find a student, who's a native English speaker, and partner up on the following terms: you provide research materials, he or she transforms them into articles.

What if I don't know shit about bitcoin? You will learn it along the way. No one knows shit about any industry he starts in. It's normal. When you start writing a blog, people will start perceiving you as an authority. Their feedback will provide you with new ideas and insights. This is how things work. You just need to start working.

Step 3

Forget about SEO. If you write about interesting things, people will find your blog through long-tail keywords and link to your blog from Quora, Reddit, internet forums and maybe even other blogs. This will do the initial SEO for you. The problem of most noobs is that they overthink things and believe they should be doing this and that and thousand other things. While actually, you need to laser-focus on just one or two. Achieve more by doing less.

If you write consistently 1-2 articles per week and put up interesting material, 6 months later you will have enough traffic to start monetizing the blog.

How to monetize:
  • Referral links to bitcoin exchanges
  • Paid blog posts (don't spend time looking for clients, if your blog is good, they fill find you by themselves)
  • Banner networks specialized in bitcoin websites like https://cointraffic.io/
I guarantee that at this point display ads solely will bring you $100 / month in revenue. If they don't, that means you hadn't been working hard enough.

Step 4

Your product has brought the first money. This means now you understand a bit how to create a product that is in demand (a bitcoin blog in this particular case). It's time to learn about product delivery. Buy "Traction: How Any Startup Can Achieve Explosive Customer Growth" book written by Gabriel Weinberg and Justin Mares. It will provide you with necessary basics.

Don't read it until you figure out product creation. It will only make your head spinning. Make one step at a time and always remember to focus on just 1 or 2 things.

Afterword

I know what you are thinking now.

Did you just say that I have to work hard for 6 months to start earning $100 a month? I could earn more tomorrow at McDonalds!

No shit, you could. Everyone could. But not everyone can earn in internet marketing. Not because it is impossible but because you don't have necessary skills. During these six months, you won't be earning money, you will be earning your new skills.

You will learn how to write blog posts. You will learn how to become an authority in a specific field. You will learn how to setup and manage a website. You will learn how to contact and negotiate with counterparties online. And you will learn a fuckton of other things.

Think about how much time and money people spend to study in a university. And what they get as a result? Theory! You have an opportunity to get a ton of practical experience by only spending your time, which otherwise you would have spent anyway surfing facebook, playing video games or doing some other stupid shit. A lucky motherfucker. If this doesn't feel good enough for you, this is my final advice to you: reconsider McDonalds, srsly.

P.S. I belive this method can be applied to any industry. I took bitcoin as an example because I have an undeniable proof that in this industry the method works.
Does Adsense accept such a blog? Cos i dont see adsense ads on crypto sites i visit

Wow! What a great thread. This is my first post in this forum. I am a newbie , never earned a penny from IM. It seems there is lot to learn before jump into the business. I will follow your advice and will start building a blog.
I'm not a native english speaker, but will give a try. Thanks!

P.S.: I really like this part of the post :)

Making a blog and writing is easy. It is the research that takes skill. I have had a blog for 8 years and I am good at it. I make a few thousand a month but it was a lot of work.

It is getting harder to get targeted traffic. Especially since blackhat SEO is harder and FB doesnt often put posts from pages in the feed anymore.

I get some traffic from Google but I have got links from big sites because they reviewed mine.

I see that it might take some time but it can be definitely worth it.

One question
Can we earn million's from crypto niche?
Or only few thousands dollar per month and create hundreds of sites to reach our goal lol?

I can answer two of your questions.

Quality English article writing starts from $7 / 100 words. Let's say, your average article is 1000 words and you need 30 articles, to begin with. It's $70 x 30 = $2100. If you are in the "learning mode" and not certain you will make this money back, I don't recommend you spending it on articles. Instead, either write articles by yourself (and learn copywriting through it) or partner up with a philology student who needs writing practice. If you decide to learn copywriting, here's an absolutely wonderful course to do so: https://www.psychotactics.com/products/story-telling/ You can also learn some things for free by reading the same website. (I am not affiliated with that course, just it was really the best thing I ever read about story telling)

You can make photos by yourself. If that seems to be overly bothersome, buy them from a photo stock. I personally buy from http://123rf.com because you don't need to have a monthly subscription there and prices are relatively cheap.
Don't simply copy and paste articles or make something around already latest writtened articles lol?

I can't tell if it's still possible to earn million's from crypto or not. Certainly not by investing $10 I would say =)

The bottom line of this post is that to make money you don't need luck, crypto, or a secret method. All you need is proper skills and skills are to be learned. First you learn some things like marketing, sales, copywriting, programming, design or the like. Then on top of that you learn people management, finance management, strategic management. With these skills you don't need a method because you ARE the method. You will be able to take almost any idea and make it work. The only question will be which idea could perform the best and be most enjoyable to work on.

Thank You! I really like the Idea of Bitcoin. Just have a quest does Paid traffic work in this way. I have really heard the news of Instatraffic and expressvisits.

I have no idea what's the relationship between a bitcoin blog and the services you mentioned. For monetizing via banner route you need to work with ad brokers like CoinTraffic (this one is the biggest but I am sure other exist as well). Also, other monetization routes like paid articles may work even better but banners are a rock-solid method for newbies.

Thanks but why the word "still"?
Doesn't this work anymore lol?

Its a shitty method unless you love writing or you're able to make a connection with your niche audience and sell affiliated products in your blog. Otherwise - not worth it.

When you are a newbie and don't know what road to walk, any road is good enough to start walking.

When you say forget about SEO does that include building links and just soley get traffic from longtails?

That means don't focus on many things at once.
You will know when you have resources to start non-core activities. Initially, the only core activity for a blog is to write, write, write. Later, marketing, client management and other stuff adds to this list. An error newbies make is focusing on too many things at once while lacking capability to get even a single one done.

Bads news now Google ban ads on this topics, so does adxense.

That's why blog owners earn EVEN MORE now. AdWords and Facebook money now flows into guest blogs, display ads and SMM.
