I read a lot of post that anchor text is very important to rank for your keyword especially if you want to rank on highly competitve keyword.

I am right now using 10% brand & naked url keyword, 25% generic keyword and 65% LSI and keyword planner keywords.

Is it a good ratio to rank for highly competitive keyword.

Why are you going after high competitive keyword, if you have no idea what you are doing?

Ideal anchor ratio depends on the niche itself, not on its competition. Just because some niches are harder, it doesn't mean they have a different ideal anchor ratio from easy niches.

Just what I was going to say. I think it’s different in every niche.

Op you should look at the top 10 or 20 results with ahrefs and not all anchor percentages, then work out an average across the 20 results and you’ll have an answer.

Yes, there might be backlinks hidden from ahrefs, but it should give you a fairly good idea.

Also to add to what David said, you should clearly focus on the relevancy of your page. Sometimes, in the first 10 results, you will find a mix between homepage and internal pages. If there is a majority of homepages, it means that these websites are solely focusing on that specific keyboard. You will be trying to rank against several pages, a higher topical relevance. you can try to collect as much information as you can from all the pages, and make a much more complete article, to go over everything related to that niche. secondly, you really need to add internal pages with specifics about each theme treated in your money page with your main keyword. In other words you should really have a look at siloing.
This is the first step before jumping into off-site search engine optimization.

Can i use SEO powersuite for competitor analysis

Just check currently ranking pages for your keyword on Google and see what ratios they have and do something similar.

Yes, it is indeed important, however, Google treats every query differently so coming up with these random ratios will not do you any good.

Analyze the top 3-5 guys for the query with tools like Majestic and Ahrefs. Mimic what they're doing.

BTW...

For very high competitive keywords, maintaining solid/steady link velocity is the most important and difficult factor.

sounds like a good plan for "stuck on page 2" for ever

Ok and now i will analyse my competitors for anchor text and for link velocity and i am creating 5-6 ******** 50+ DA backlink for tier1 daily is that okay in terms of link velocity.

This is my first ever experiment to rank my website on google's 1st page and i was started this year for link building.

So right don't have an exact idea of what will work and what not hope you understand my position.

Thanks for your response

Look at your competitors for everything and mimic that. Then do it slightly differently (more aggressively most likely) once you're on the 1st page.

  • Anchors
  • Link velocity
  • link sources
  • On-page
