guys back in 2014 i use to make youtube videos, avraging $2,000 a month from adense, now i can barely make $200 a month from YouTube. What happened to adsense, why can't we monetize the videos like back in times?

Here is a good example so i gained 570,000 Views on this one video with in 1 month time. Adsense was gree dollar sign "Approved" i only made $70 from that video. In 2014-2015 570k views would make you $720+ dollar. I don't know what's happening how people are making money from google adsense on YouTube/

can someone explain this pleae?

I also heard that the earnings have dropped very much. Explore other options like affiliate marketing.

you still remember 2014
it's 4 years everything changed

yeah earning become like shit from adsense
also they disable earning for first days for most new videos
and that makes your earning low

Too many changes have taken place and its Google, expect something new each year.

The Adpocalypse happened.

Basically a bunch of advertisers pulled their adspend from the platform causing RPMs to drop.

You have to also consider the rise in mobile traffic over the last 4 hours, as well as the increase of users using adblock on their browsers.

Depends on your niche, my niche has survived adpocalypse and earnings are more for sake amount if views

every year it's the same, after the end of the shopping season all budgets cycle ends on DEC 31, and most of them will not renew them

i still earning fine with adsense content lol :v better switch to adsense content bro :v

is your video really short? is the audience for that video from non tier 1 countries? is it an obscure topic that might not have much interested advertisers ?

my youtube channel will still earn about $750 for 500k views

What about the cash you see some ridiculous channels are making via socialblade ?
Eventhough it is a range . Would you say it is miss calculated ?

Some people who are making on YT, have you checked and compared what you are really making and what socialblade estimates is ?
Is it accurate compared to what you earn ?

THanks for the update

maybe it's which location ur viewers r coming from

Nothing is dead. Every business is getting harder over the time. The key is to grow with your business (model), arrange with the changes, analyze and give what the market needs etc. You have to do what's necessary to do to be successful in your business. Otherwise you're right. It's dead (...but only for you).

But what's the option? Jumping on the next hot train (eg. Instagram + CPA), waiting until it's getting harder and call it dead again? With this mindset you'll never achieve the bigger sums.

You have to stick to a business no matter how hard it will be. If you're an expert (or on a good way) in your business you'll laugh about the changes here and there. Even better: You'll be happy that it's getting harder because there are fools who'll call it dead and leave the business + for a beginner who has to start from zero it's less attractive = More money for your own. :)

If you're an entrepreneur your job is to solve problems! If you call everything dead when it's getting harder...

Google's ad earnings have gone down a lot, even while they spam 80% of search results with ads and present webmasters' contents straight on the SERPs.

My earnings have been fairly flat. I make usually between 2k and 3k a month. each video is different though. i have a couple long videos with really long view times and they make well over $1 per 1000 views. then i have others that get a ton of views and make little.

of course january is brutal every year for earnings, but so far in february it looks to be rebounding nicely
