Bitcoin and other crypto currencies

Cryptocurrency is getting big right now and ive had btc since it was $400! I see so many other currencies comming out - ripple, ether..etc . What gives these new currencies value? I still dont completly understand.
Also, if you do invest and strike big, how can you transfer all that currency out to paypal/cash? Ex, you have 2btc - where do you go to sell

If you had 2btc i think you would go to coin base with id and stuff but the fees are so damn high

you should make a gdax account, its owned by coinbase but the fees are only 0.03% takers fee at gdax verses coinbase 1.30% on all transactions,

and if you already have coinbase account just loggin to gdax with your coinbase account
