Hey guys,
Did you experience a sudden visitor drop in your site's analytic stat?
Ranking for the keywords is almost unchanged. [At least by no way indicative of 53% visitor drop]
But visitors dropped 53% and earnings decreased to 70%! :(
What kinda update is this? And how are you handling it guys?
N.B:
1. My current meta description length is yet in old 160 characters.
2. Majority of my articles are product review type and the site is Amazon affiliate based.

Please share your experience, so that we may counter this serious issue.
Have a nice day guys!

Try guest posting from high authority sites, you may get good results.

You might want to look into this and refer back to this thread: https://www.blackhatworld.com/seo/the-google-maacabees-update.996965/ Digging deeper into the update may provide some additional answers for you especially if it's "not" anything more than a Google dance for your site.

Its christmass, people celebrating with their family and spend less time before the computer. Affiliate sales are down for me too, but I expect it to skyrocket after the end of the year. If your rankings are the same I wouldnt be worried.

Holidays impact ? don't forget to check GWT for warnings if there is any.

As there is traffic drop, this is a penalty due to backlinks, so therefore check all your backlinks, disavow all bad and spammy, then 301 to a new domain!

Resubmit your robot.txt file to Google WMT. This may help to recover your traffic again.
