Dropshipping Journey Sweet and Simple

Good luck with your journey
Best Of Luck Your Journey OP

Thanks guys.

So i good some sample products on the way. A bunch of manufacturers seem happy to accommodate my specific needs.

I have a question about domain/blogs.

Shopify has its own blog feature. I wanted to make a blog/social presence on social media but is it the best place to do this? I want to ad content that would bring the demographic i need but what are the SEO implications?

Will having entertainment post on my blog (tied to Shopify) negatively impact my SEO for my Shopify?

Just added an app that gives loyalty points to customers based off their spending on my site. They get discounts for spending. I can't seem to get the create account page to work. Maybe i have to make my own page and setup for account creation...

On a brighter note i have added another product set to my site. This group of items i added belong in the same niche but a bit different. 4 products. I'm going for premium branding. My social media accounts are slowly picking up speed.

I debated with myself if i should stop this journey. I literally have 0 time to spend. With rl work(a few mins here and there because i have no computer at home), spending time with my kids, and working on making my business(via Android i got for free for sign up of my no contract provider.. which is very frustrating and slow...) success i really want it. And although i may not need it, i feel it helps when i lay it out. It makes me feel progression...

Ima stick to it a bit longer. Hopefully it will keep me from getting... Stagnant... Sometimes i get stuck and my first instinct is to just quit. It's too much of a hassle.. but all my life I've been doing this. And always, i got the same results. Lost out on countless opportunities. Like legitimate opportunities that would have completely changed my life.

So this will be my new year change. For the better I'm changing and I'm gonna succeed.

Oh also, shop now button does nothing. I wonder if i have to set it up to connect via them customization page.

Also wondering what would happen if someone wanted to buy... Would the shop take the transaction properly? I didn't do anything in editing it.. so it's default right now. I might have to make a purchase request.

Will update what happens

wow great. good luck!

I feel like I made a terrible mistake using Shopify. I have everything set really well. Was adding more products to my shop, but then when I was adding reviews from ALIEXPRESS it said my limit was reached. I guess you can only import 10 reviews for the free version of this app. Now I'm stuck eating 9$ a month or switching my site to wordpress.. I put so much damn time into it and it really feels like a shame, but I don't know if I can justify paying an additional 9$ on top of shopify monthly and soon to be oberlo monthly. Especially when I don't have sales yet.

So I'm contemplating switching over to wordpress. If anyone has any advice on this matter please feel free to give it!

I know wordpress allows for more customization... Such a headache~

Hey mate,
I have been through this as well. I started with shopify and everything looked okay at first, everybody recommends it but in the end it is terrible choice. I have ended up paying 100 USD per month just to run the shop with necesary plugins. I hate paying monthly. That is why i switched one month ago to Wordpress, bought hosting, premium woo theme and got Alidropship plugin from Yaros to import products. All for under 100 - lifetime. It is pretty easy and works very well. If you have any questions regarding dropshipping on wordpress, write me a pm. You look like a nice guy and you should avoid the trap called Shopify.

Hey man... Yea everything seems like a money grab... you need a new app to do anything... and the best apps are usually paid. Its my fault... I dont know if im going to go woocomerce or stay with shopify or just cut out the 3rd party all together and just make my own site... we will see. But before I do anything im definately going to research a bit more. I don't like the idea of paying for things I dont think i should have to... If i don't go woocomerce or shopify my only other option would be making a website from scratch. Probably a bunch more work... Like I'll have to learn to do some coding... But I feel like that might be the better option. Not only will i learn a bit about making the site (gain valuable skills)... i should be able to find most things online. (hopefully)... and of course less money spent. That is kinda the most important for me until I make some money. (so far i havent made anything and I am worried I will be draining 30-60$ a month with shopify + apps)

Did you upgrade to the business plan? That cost an arm and a leg though to implement a shopfront to wordpress. No idea how you got it under 100 - lifetime. (I can't pm you for now)

SO I caved and decided to stay with shopify. Hopefully it will work out (what i mean is hopefully i get some sales to pay for shopify/apps).

Building up my instagram/aging it. Its a new account. Tied a facebook for business account on instagram. That way I can see metrics~~~

Having trouble with the content I want to show. I know which demographic I'm targeting so I have a few leads. gotta come up with some more types of content

Edit:: Incase your wondering I have about 80 followers now.. Adding people manually. Havent started posting content, but I will.

Good luck mate, be smart!

Thanks. I'm trying to keep everything good. So the theme I'm using has a terrible blog interface. It doesn't look so good. But I'm just using the blogs as a "content" machine. Add content to blog... and repost as relevant topics via social media...

Not sure how much of the blog can be edited without changing the whole theme of the shop... Another reason i may want to leave shopify -.-

So I set up my blog and such... But not only does it not look like a good place to get information (besides the fact that there are no advertisments), But it really looks weird. Like for the theme of the shop the page looks great... But for a blog, it looks kinda weird..

Also, Not sure if I want my blog, which is tied to my brand name (shopify site), to have articles. Well, the articles that I would need to post to target my audience. DO you think it could hurt my brand image?

I know the articles I post would be something my audience would like to read, but i feel that it could affect the brand name in the long run. Any ideas around this? Is it possibleto have a subdomain that doesnt SHOW the main domain? (because my domain has my brand in it )

So...i am an idiot... I didnt know you could not post things on instagram. Like besides pictures/memes... So... Probably gonna work with facebook/twitter for now... I really thought you could link a blog article to instagram but I guess only FB/twitter... It kinda ruins my plans a bit because from the bit I know, it seems instagram is better for my niche.
Seems like I keep hitting roadblocks. But then again... Seems like real life to me.

Gotta keep rolling and maybe the cash will too

SO i started applying content to my blog. Tried to build up my facebook page. But it got banned. Apparently FB does not allow you to add people you don't personally know. Waiting for image verification. -.- Every step in the road has a hole just waiting for you to fall in. You just have to look deep enough..... T.T
