I think it will not drop/burst in a near future (1-2 years)
More and more speculators and people know bitcoin everyday, they will jump the wagon before "its too late", organization, companies, and BTC derivatives are coming, huge amount of money are coming.
It may keep rising to $40,000 in the end of 2018, before any serious things happen, this burble may burst in one day, but no one can predict when.

You're definitely making a sacrifice by missing such an awesome trip. I hope this investment works out for you.
Who knows, by the time January gets here, with the way the price of BTC is rising, you may be able to cover the cost of your entire trip with just the profit that you make between now and then.

There whose good saying in past, this is not enough that you invested in that and saw bigger numbers. Because you did not cached out, so there is no earnings, only big minus in bank account.
I can say this, because I'm trying to buy IOTA and there is everywhere problems, websites crashing, cex is still not exchanging Ethereum, after that they are everywhere take money. Most of markets accept only cripto, so you need to use another website like cex to buy from card and it costs. Then don't forget that they give worst exchange rate to make money and on taking money out most of them take 15%.

At the end I watching bitcoins from 200 dollars. The price is not normal right now and it will drop, just watch this.
So you can see it never whose stable, this is from begging. Everything comes back like it worse before few years it even wore before christmas like now. So my thoughts, that after 20 or 30k it will gonna go down, for 2-3k, maybe even 1k. Why this rising happening, because of more money is investing in it. So imagine you have 100 billions or more, you can read more conspiracy theories who rules world, like Rothschilds family. So you invest big money to bitcoin, order some news about it and it will gonna rise like now. Then you sell them when you make profits, what will gonna happen? It will gonna go down and best thing is Christmas, when all people are happy and spending most of their money.
At the end this is only my thoughts and I`m happy that this forum has people that can spend thousands on bitcoins and I wish you luck to make even more! But remember as I said before you if you have money, you have loads of where to invest money, gold, antic coins, paintings, diamonds, land, or maybe mobile apps and websites, or other business.

I think its a good gamble see the price increased. and I suggest cashout some to take the original investment and save a little bitcoin (repeat the process)
or he can trade it to ETH much stable price increase.
