Not to sound like a dick but i just finished reading through your journey thread and to be honest i didnt learn a thing which is unlikely for a journey thread.

Perhaps sharing more details about your keyword and what you did will be really helpful, details like

Search Volume of your keyword
No of search results
How many HR views did you buy
How many likes, subs and comment e.t.c

Atleast such info will be helpful in helping us the readers gauge the competition of the niche and help us with sound decisions on how to rank on YouTube.

Hey man, sorry you feel that way. Here is some more details.
According to Keywords Everywhere plugin, the 5 keywords total almost 500,000 monthly searches. That's searches on Google I believe, but the niche would also be searched for quite a lot on YouTube. So I'm going to say 50,000-100,000 MS on YouTube in total. 2.5 million results for main, most broad keyword(currently sitting at Page 2 Position 4. #1 video has over 2 million views!)
At the start I only added about 4-5k views, this rose to 9k and now I bought 20k views to see what would happen. In terms of likes and comments, I have over 500 likes and over 100 comments.

I hope that gives you a better idea of the tough competition and some of the steps I'm taking to rank the video.

No problem! The niche is competitive indeed, I'm convinced I could rank any medium competition niche now with the knowledge I've gathered.
As far as buying services, there are plenty of suppliers around. I cannot recommend any of them.
I have been getting some traffic, but my landing page needs work. Which I haven't bothered with much yet because I'm focusing on ranking.
I'd prefer if you asked your questions in the thread rather than PM.
Latest rankings, last update until Sunday or Monday because I'm off to a party.

I have been experimenting with YT myself and have seen the rankings go up with social signals (distributed throughout facebook, g+, twitter, reddit, stumbleupon & blogspot).

I don't want to give exposure to any sellers in particular, I'm considering however to start selling services that provide similar results as the ones seen here, if there's interest. I want to get better before I do anything like that though.

I haven't played around with social signals too much yet, I'll experiment more soon thank you for the advice!

• Find information of average search per month and CPC easily using this free extension:

• Write description at least 500 characters, first sentence must contain targetted keyword.
  
• For video tags i'm using my feelings.
• For medium competition keywords i'm buying 5000 HR views, 20 comments, 20 shares, 20 likes, 5 dislikes.
  
• For medium-low competition keywords i'm buying 1000 HR views, 10 shares, 5 likes.

After (at least) 1 month. ​

It's just ugly slideshow videos, all images downloaded from bing images. Here's my own tool:

Flip horizontal all images, remove exif tag, give them an ugly border, change the contrast and saturation (using Photoscape)
Music from bensound.

what I did was to build backlinks to my videos.

the links are all spammy but it was still very effective
so I could make a few $$$ easily, but at some point, it didn't work anymore.

I found out that I'm ranking for other keywords that I'm not even targeting but they're closely related so that's good.
I added one of those keywords into my tracking tool. I'm going to keep using YTRank here for the sake of consistency.

Update:
So I've been using SERPLab to track my keywords, and since Sunday I've improved my rank a lot.
The region set for my tracker is Global.
I will actually use SERPLab for my journey from here on out because YTRank is having some issues recently and keeps going down, at least for me.
I just need to skip a few hard competitors to bank hard with this niche. I BELIEVE I CAN DO THIS!

"First" is the first rank that was recorded, which was on Sunday.
"Best" is the best rank recorded so far.
"Latest" is the current rank, right now as of posting this.

I've been seeing huge progress and I hope that I can rank top 5 for all keywords very soon.
You may have noticed that I'm only tracking 4 keywords, that's because the other keywords didn't have enough monthly searches so I'm going to stick to these.
