  • Updated some of the banner ads on my personal blog and cleaned a few things up on the backend.
  • Posted some filler articles out to the bridge network.
  • Started researching a cost efficient way to get hotmail or yahoo email accounts but it seems a nightmare these days. I think I will just have to get a bitcoin wallet and use buyaccs but I won’t need them for a while yet at least.
  • Cleaned out my rank tracker and analytic data for sites I have created but no longer use.
  • Started to alive/index check some old SER link batches and I think I may use some of its contextual platforms along side SERE to try and help save costs on the tier three of the upcoming projects. I will have to heavily edit the engines I use though due to there being patterns of mass deletion or failiour to index.
  • Been researching cameras for if I do start up a vlogging channel, almost everyone seems to recommend the Canon G7X. I have seen a bunch of side by side videos and it looks and sounds better than anything else around the £500 price point.
  • Ran an indexing split with the filler posts to the bridge network to see if they can index without the need of an indexing service or links, looks like its better to just ping links through an indexing service.
  • Posted out some linker articles to the bridge network.
  • One of my clients SER install keeps crashing so had to spend a little time trying to workout the cause. Pretty sure its their server not being able to handle high thread counts but will see how it goes.
  • Checked in with my writers on upwork to make sure the jobs were all coming along on time and sent out some a new money site article order. I really cant be bothered to type up filler articles for my money sites so I will probably order a bunch of $5/1000 word articles to use instead in a few days as I have a hand full of money site fillers left over from my last order.
  • Checked the indexing of all the bridge network domains at root level and they are now all indexed. One thing I have noticed that seems to have changed this year is that it takes around a week for a totally fresh domain to index now. I have observed this on all of the 25 bridge network domains, once set up they were submitted directly to Google via the official submit tool. I'm sure it was instant in the past so I am guessing it is a counter to the automated tools that submit links using this method.
  • Read my kindle.
  • Posted some filler articles out on the money site network.

Any ROI yet?

Nah, I lost most of my aged money sites when Penguin 4 went real time and another one in Fred so everything I am building is on fresh domains that need to age in, I should probably fine going the way I am until July 18 and if I still haven't worked a new method out I will just go get a normal job. Below is the current finances for the business since 1st July 17, I explain more of where the money is coming from in this post.

The struggle is real. It's becoming seriously harder with each year due to people getting more and more knowledge, I can only stomp myself in the face that I was more occupied with partying, drinking, doing drugs and have lots of sex back in the day. Sure was fun at the time but I was literally there at the birth of the internet and every major authority site grrrr

Could have been a fucking millionaire by now.

Dont look at the past Billy, dont look at the past..

Haha, mate I'm exactly the same but without the Drugs due to regular drug tests in the military. I definitely served under the mantra of "One does not simply join the British military and not develop a drinking problem", for most of 2014/2015 I was spending around £1000 a month on alcohol and Nandos, looking back it was really fun but a massive waste of time and money with a bunch of health risks. Can't change the past though and in all honesty, I am glad I did that then as it got it all out of my system so I can knuckle down and work trying to get an IM business off the floor now :).

Well, to be honest.. I went in the military as we call it here, as a snotnose, never smoked, never drank, never used drugs and after leaving I did all of those :D

Thanks for sharing. What's the 3.7k other expenses made out of? Seems a lot!

Also what's this software you're using to monitor your P&L? Seems pretty handy!

Cheers man :).

It's more from my observations, I am a firm believer in the sandbox and am observing various pages starting to leave it now on the domains I made during this journey. I'm pretty sure you can cut down this sandbox time by pushing links to pages from authority domains like media sites and stuff but thats a no go for the way I build links.

Although the initial bridge network test I ran and automated seemed to increase traffic by around 7% I think the juice provided from bridge network links will only increase as the domains age as well as the pages with the links on them.

I posted the below screenshot in a thread the other day, its a parasite page that I blasted and it has taken almost six months for the page to have any real SERP movement making me beleive everything has slowed down even further since Penguin 4 and Fred. This is one of the main reasons I have decided to try and make long term money sites and long term tier one sites in an attempt to prevent haveing to wait six months to see how it goes everything a rollout happens.

Glad to see you updating the thread again :)

Do you think the sandbox effect that you're seeing is because the domains / parasite pages you're using are brand new, or do you think it's just taking the links that much time to kick in?

I built a couple of new sites last month and did a rinse and repeat strategy from my previous sites. Two of targeted keywords now on Page 2 and 3. I'm sure they'll dance heavily in the upcoming weeks, but I'm positive the serp will go higher sooner than I expected. The thing is, new sites could rank faster / no need to age in. Keep it up Shaun!

I would say around $1500 is money site and T1 content, around $1200 is for art for the YouTube projects I decided to drop so have around $700 credit with the artist to use for other stuff and the rest will be stuff like VPS'/proxies/emails and such.

Glad to see you updating the thread again :)

I think it's a bit of both tbh, the parasite page I linked a few posts back is an amazon.com parasite and it took almost six months to see any movement at all where as a few years back I used to do the exact same thing and it was much quicker. With self-hosted domains, I have always seen a few months before anything happens with the initial pages and then once they have aged in stuff seemed to be able to get traction within about two month but I am only just starting this second round of posts for these domains.

Are you able to share anything else on the strategy? Is it based around PBNs/Guestposts by anychance? I have never seen anything that fast before with the stuff I try, the majority of stuff is tiered link building with a small portion being PBN based stuff now but even the PBN based stuff has been online for around six weeks now. I have a few grand set aside to scale into PBN based stuff quickly if it does workout though :). Just checked my rank tracker for it and the below screenshot is two of its main keywords, both products range from $150-$600 with search volumes of 1200 and 3600 per month.

Yeah, your experience with the parasite page makes me worry that it's the links that need aging and not the domains. That said, I'm planning to start buying money site domains, sticking some filler content on them and letting them age and just cycling through this constantly so I always have a batch that are ~6+ months old.

That's actually on my list for next week. Due to moving to a bridge network for T1 I don't want it linking to the same money site a whole bunch of times, I don't have a fixed limit yet but I will probably try to keep it below 10 times in total. Because of this I am planning on building a bunch of Money Site domains and putting filler content on them and letting them age while I complete this second round of testing and then if it works I have them ready to scale into.

I want one money site domain per niche with around 50,000 words of unique human wrote content on it minimum that can be a mix of money pages that are intended to make money and a whole bunch of filler pages that are tutorials and stuff like that then link out to the money pages over time from the BN and then add web 2.0s and stuff under them.

I let my SERPLab subscription drop not realizing the free plan only holds 3 months of historical rank tracker data so I have lost a bunch of stuff from the tests but most of my analyzing had been done thankfully but here's the analytics for one of the self-hosted domains from this journey. It was launched early April but still took about four months before its traffic started to climb. Not sure if its the domain aging in, its links aging in or both, defo starting to lean more towards links having to age in rather than the domain though.

It's a pretty similar pattern to the below site that I built last year other than last years site having about 100-120 money pages and the above one only having 7 so its traffic pull is much less.

The below screenshot is for my zero backlink experiment I started back in Feb. Its domain is a few month older than the above two screenshots are in their date ranges but as you can see, traffic is actually falling rather than climbing further pushing me towards backlinks to money pages having to age in before traffic increases rather than the actual money site domain but again it could be both.

I am planning on splitting the zero backlinking experiments money pages up into three batches. One will get BN links built to it, one will get manual web 2.0s built to it and one will just be left with zero backlinks. I am interested to see how its pages respond to the changes over the coming months and will hopefully help me better understand it if I get to a scaling stage.

You can check out my latest thread for more info about my strategy. I hope it will give you a lil bit motivation as well to keep ranking your moneysites :)

When it comes to high serp, PBN always comes in play. But I mixed it with tier links as well for diversity.

I built this site below on first July. So now it's almost two months to get this far. Fingers crossed.

Congrats man that's pretty impressive :). Looks like I am defo going to need to expand into PBNs, how much are you paying per domain on average? The ones I have been picking up seem to range from $150-$500 after bulk discounts and such and depending on the supplier.

  • Reached out to the artist who did all my comic book art as I still have credit for 142 drawings with her and gave her some new ideas for blog art work of me as I can always use it on my blog and I can probably use it in thumbnails for my vlogs or something.
  • Reached out to the manual web 2.0 guy I use to confirm his team will understand the requirements of my next article batch as I plan to use them slightly different than my past orders so wanted to make sure they would understand my instructions. Also requested confirmation on pricing for just submissions with me providing the articles and building my own T2 in an attempt to get the costs down and save more cash.
  • Read my kindle.
  • So I started freaking out earlier when I checked my analytics and two of my main sites traffic had dropped to zero even though their SERPs were climbing. It took me about 15 minutes to realise that these are the two sites I changed the theme on a few days back and in doing so deleted the analytics tracking code by accident. Quickly readied the analytics code to the domains and hopefully it will be fine tomorrow.
  • The hosting for the bridge network seems to have random CPU spikes for some reason. Spent some time trying to find the reason as the hosting have automatic suspension if the CPU usage goes above 25% for a set number of time and its a pain to sort out. I think its because of updraft running backups so I have changed it to run once a week for bridge network domains rather than each day.
  • Let my SERPLab sub drop not realising it would delete all of my historical rank tracker data apart from the last 3 month so thats a bit of a nightmare as I have lost a bunch of notes of when things were added.
  • Broke the money page links on my zero backlink experiment down into three batches, one for a T1 BN, one for a T1 of manual web 2 and one to be left with no backlinks to track their progress over the coming months.
  • Checked the clients server that was having SER issues the other day to complete daily servicing for them and it looks like the problem has gone.
  • Changed the theme for my zero back linking experiment domain to give it a face lift. I changed the theme, added a better logo and went over all the posts to add featured images and such so the whole website looks more professional. Dropped the SILOing from it as i’m not a believer in SILO theory. Remembered to re add the analytics code this time. When going over the posts I realised I left some of them in a pretty sorry state so added better media to them to make them look better.
  • Order $100 of manual web 2.0s for the T1 manual web 2.0 link batch from what was my old zero back linking domain.
  • Posted more filler articles out to the BN.

Not sure why my screenshot looks so big on desktop than in mobile :D

Anyway for domain, average is $50. Sometimes less. You can use Domcop to find expired domains yourself. You'll save tons of money.

Fair one, thats one of the first things I plan to outsource to a VA if I decided to go all in on PBNs. Is the search volume for that keyword accurate? 165,000 searchs a month seems crazy and I can remember back when I used SERPBook they were usually wrong. How much do you think that page will be able to make if it gets top three?

Hehe, that has happened to me too. Crazy minutes until you realize what is going on

You went above and beyond with the evidence, as usual :)

I've been using new domains exclusively over the past few months and getting no where (in Google at least), about to switch to aged domains. I'll let you know if I see results any faster.

Yea it had me itching my head like :).

Yea defo! I was thinking of using some aged domains but I don;t like the idea ofd getting a naged domain thats from a different niche, building a site out on it and backlinking it only for google not to like what I did and punish the site some how. Total theory but its in the back of my mind. I will probably try it when I get more cash coming in though to see what happens but let me know how yours get on :).
