That depends on how many proxies you buy. I've been using 25 semi-dedicated from BlazingSEO for $12/m and they have been working great with SERE. Their proxy service is relatively new so as more people sign up, I might have to switch to dedicated proxies.

For emails I'm using catchalls from Spartan catchalls and they're around $15/month for 3 catchalls, but I believe there are discounts available. There might be other catchalls services available too with different pricing or your host might allow you to make your own.

I use a mix of catchalls + mail.ru. The mail.ru I create with SERE so they're free minus the cost of captcha credits. For captcha solving I use 2captcha and I believe the pricing is anywhere from .95 to $2.99 per 1000 captchas depending on the type of captchas being sent to the service.

Keep in mind that's for running SER with SEREngines. If you aren't planning on using SERE you could probably get away with starting out with 10 proxies, 2 catchalls and Captcha Breaker.

If you're planning on using a SER list service like looplines or any others then you can use less proxies because you won't have to scrape your own targets. Some of those list providers have lists that work exclusively with Captcha Breaker so you wouldn't need to use a fallback captcha service either. Then again, you would have the cost of paying for the list service. I'm not sure of the pricing for those because there are so many so you would just have to look around and check those out. Some people prefer to scrape their own targets instead of using a list service which would give you a more unique list, but is a bit more work to setup.

Best thing to do is figure out how you plan on using SER, then look at the different services available for proxies, lists, or whatever you need to see what fits within your budget.

If there anything in your already proven SEO strategy that SER is able to automate for you? If so then think of the time you could save by using SER to automate those tasks, if not or if you don't have an SEO strategy then there is probably no point in buying it. The stuff I am trying now looks nothing like the stuff I was doing this time last year, Penguin 4 and to some extent Fred have changed a whole bunch of stuff in the automated tiered link building game.

Most people think SER is able to post large amounts of automated links but you can use it to help you manage your PBN if you wish. As Shaun mentioned, it depends on if SER can automate some of the work that fits within your SEO strategy.

One thing I do want to say is that it shouldn't cost you $600 to get SER + CB.

GSA SER is one probably the most cost effective seo tool. Because it is one time fee and is not abandoned as other one time fee tools. On contrary it is updates all the time. Also it does job really well, and is constantly updated and has awesome customer support.

This is one of best investment you are going to do. Trust me. gsa ser has lot of 3rd party addons and you can even build web 2.0 with that. And it supports lot of backlink type such as social bookmarks, forums, article , video etc.It works as a scraper too.

To be honest, GSA SER's effectiveness has dropped as compared to its initial years, as clearly, the tool has been overused, and links and sites postable by GSA is now clogged with spam with millions and millions of links that simply flag those sites. Nevertheless, if you are able to obtain a good list of postable site, invest in a good recaptcha solving tool (requires money), and have a decent amount of proxies - I believe these would definitely make GSA a little better as compared to out-of-the-box.

I purchased combo 'GSA search engine ranker + GAS captcha breaker' this year and i can say it's cheaper and there is no tool compare to it. GSA and combine with my xrumer it even gives more milky results.

Gsa is a must have tool if you are planning to do SEO. However before you start using it I would suggest you first train yourself how how to use it. its just a tool and in good hand this tools can be very effective but in bad hand this can be disastrous for you. So before you start using it do your research.

There's nothing they can do about Penguin, it's in the Google algo so that's your side of the house to workout, not the GSA teams.
