Me too. Next up is to transfer my html site. It's static but with more than 200 pages. Any tips? I think I'd need to do it in Google cloud Storage and not on Compute Engine. Do u think I should create a new project or just use the same one?

For me, it was a very big pain to get it working. I have a little store on Wordpress that wanted to transfer there. After finally setting it up yesterday, today I got a problem where I could not duplicate the content using the WP All-in-One plugin which is very popular (now getting a 505). I will still use it for smaller sites I guess. Just a heads-up: Some prior experience in working with this will do you good - I had none so I got into problems

So my site was example.com but whenI moved to GCS I changed it to www.example.com (just following instructions). Problem is now all pages that dont start with www, like example.com/blogpost.html redirect to www.example.com . I read around and I think htaccess file can solve this. But google cloud doesnt support htacess. Any ideas?

Everythign solved-
I chose Click to Deploy instead of Bitnami
Then I skipped the "Create a Static Ip address" part.
Then I used the duplicator plugin to download my old site. Then installed the "file Manager" to upload it to the new wordpress on Google cloud.

Great learning curve. Never knew GCP would be soo different.

Satisfied.

I was worried about that too, but it looks like its just an over-estimate cause its been like 20 days and the total billing it at 15$. I think it'll suffice till the end of the year or at least close to a year. But yeah its quite expensive though cause the site doesnt have much traffic. I created another account and that site has over 600 pageviews a day and the charges so far has been 5$. Its an html site hosted on gcs

Write down your username and pass, go to VM instances in Google cloud platform and see your instance's ip. Then just add /wp-admin at the end. For example: 192.168.1.1/wp-admin
