looking to get Gov/EDU custom Engines

I am learning GSA, one of my colleague told me regarding custom engines
I can build Gov & Edu backlink as a 1st tier links for my main site by simply adding these custom engine

Can anyone enlighten this Custom engine

No op those link are not good for tier 1. You need to build link manually for your tier 1 and you can search for edu scholarships or blogposts links for this purpose. But in the end its depends on site to site. You need footprints to search edu and gov sites.

If OP use gsa ser with quality content and well optimized it can be used for t1 . I always see gsa ser as a bot instead magic seo tool.

Okay i will keep it in mind but then i will go for Tier 2 backlink fro creating Edu/Gov link

there is no such thing gov edu engine..

No dude , i already added custom engines in my GSA like DRUPAL , Wiki custom engines etc

edu/gov are on multiple platform, it could be K2 profile or Forum profile or Drupal or wordpress. They all are integrated into many tools, you just need to place the source in the right group. There could be many customized too where tool might not work. You can use ubot for that purpose

All they've really done is add 'site:.edu' and 'site:.gov' to the keyword strings for several of the existing engines. You can easily do this yourself, or just use those operators when scraping your lists.

Unfortunately the Asia Virtual Solutions engines are just the same engines that already exist in GSA, the only difference is in the line for sorting domains, they just add ".edu" or ".gov".

There are not any new engines per se. For example, Harvard uses "Open Scholar" as do many other schools, and governments use particular CMS platforms, but this list from AVS does not add anything new at all. It's certainly not worth buying this IMHO.
