Thanks alot mate! I was wondering about that tbh but didn't know who to ask ... did you start linking to your site after a month or didn't wait that long? used bhw services?
Wrote like 2 small articles today about 300-500 words each

I've ordered a few pbn posts from the marketplace about 2 weeks ago and I'm waiting for the report. Im currently ranking in the 50s for my main keyword without any link building done. I don't know if thats particularly good as there is practically no competition. I guess it could be higher since my main page has only around 700 words but since top 10 has 100-200 words of summaries without targeting anything, I'm leaving it as it is for now.

Update:

• Rankings are the same (All keywords are N/A) except 1 KW with 300 monthly searches is ranking at the 95th spot lol
• wrote a couple more of useless articles that target no keywords at all, just for the sake of building up more content on the site.

So i got bored from coming to my pc at the end of the day, wait for serp lap to update the ranking (every 24h - free account) and seeing the exact same thing red "N/A".. so i ordered a few posts from the market place.

• 25 pbn posts targetting 2 of my main KWs, 60% / 40% cost [$32.5 with coupon]
• Ordered 50 web 2.0 + 2nd tier links to them, these were bought to dilute my anchor profile. cost [$20 with coupon]

my article targets 3 keywords, one of which has 40-60k searches monthly, and the other two have 15k combined. I ordered the posts for the 15k ones since they had less competition and didn't want to go into the big KW for now since it may prove to be too expensive for my budget.
No other link building will be done to these, so in the following weeks i'll update how my rankings change from N/A... if they do hopefully.
on a side note, I'll be starting another thread for my other journey which will include 3-5 Amazon Aff. sites. still deciding on what niches and keywords to target.

Update
what I did:

• Built like 2 more articles about 500 words each
• Bought a Serplab bot/account for a year
• Renewed my Kwfinder subscription
• Bought 1 link package that I'll discuss in bit

So in 4 days, the website will be 1 month old, it's already ranking well I guess.

as you can see the 2 terms that were previously targetted with the PBN posts are at #18 and #20, the other keywords were not targetted but google just picked them up.
Initially, after the PBN and Web 2.0's I was hovering around page 6-7 for the 2 terms which I targetted (they were N/A before). After waiting for 2 weeks after I got the reports I was still on page 6. I then decided to buy some Tier 2 links to 20 of the web 2.0'a that were d0follow and had the highest DA. I bought around 20 links/property .. so a total of 400 links for $18 Using this service.
3 days after ordering the links my results jumped to what you see above. This might've been just a delay in the PBN link's effect or due to the tier 2's... I don't know for sure which one it was.
Note: These ranking have been like that for like a week now. I still get 0 traffic lol hoping that'll change once i hit page 1.

What I plan on doing next:

• Buying some social signals
• Waiting for some time for everything to settle
• pumping more of my 2.0's with tier 2 links
• If that doesn't work I might go for another PBN package.

On a side note, I've started an amazon site that isn't yet finished content and design wise. got like 4k-5k content only so far of which 4k is written by me and 1k is bought from a writer. ordered a logo for the amazon site today as well.

I won't be adding the cost of the Kwfinder subscription renewal and the cost of the serplab bot since these services weren't mandatory.

Update~
rankings stayed the same for a month, only slight movements could be seen (+- 1 position) but kept hovering around the same spot as in the previous update.
So what i did so far is:

• Bought more Tier 2 links to 20 more d0follow web 2.0's (20 Tier 2 links/ web 2.0) (waiting on delivery)
• bought 200 web 2.0's to the PBN links i previously purchased. (still waiting for their delivery)
• Bought 35 social shares
• Bought about 50 niche blog comments (manual) to 2 pages on the site to dilute the anchor text ratios further (waiting on delivery)

Results?
social shares did nothing after a few days, they won't hurt though. I've seen some people say it did them wonders but nothing in my case.
1 day after i bought the 3 other services, 10 out of 30 keywords are nowhere to be seen (N/A).. while the other 20 all had a decrease in rankings. My main keyword jumped from position 18 to 60, whereas the other keyword jumped from 17 to N/A.. this happened in the past 4 hours.
The tier 2 links are channeled through web 2.0's so if my rankings don't increase later I can delete the link to my site, same thing applies to the new web 2.0's that are linked to the PBNs.
However the niche blog comments are pointed directly at my money site, I don't know if this might affect the site in anyway since its supposed to be done manually, drip fed, no follow and on blogs with OBL less than 15-20.

It's due to one of these three reasons:

1. A dance due to the links i bought
2. google doesn't like the links i bought and is punishing the site for it
3. Google is undergoing an update or something?

I'm assuming that this might be just a dance, i'll wait for sometime and see.

Hi mate, Nice journey I will be following as i'm doing something similar. I found a keyword with 12k searches that is 7 in kwfinder and 4 in keyword revealer, should i be using any other tool to check ? do you think it would be a bad idea to outsource the site building with such a low comp keyword ? any advice would be great as i haven't a fucking clue what i'm doing

When Google detects big changes, it puts you into a "sandbox" for 30 days while it re-evaluates the site. This is why is it dancing. I'm sure after a few more weeks it will either settle at a higher or lower rank. If you were penalised, you'd get tanked and traffic is affected. It's just calculating your new ranking

I'm really hoping that's the case mate, I didn't have traffic to begin with, but GWT shows no manual actions and im still indexed. will give it sometime for now and watch it closely as i focus on building another site in the mean time.
1st main keyword is at spot 39 now, from the previous 15
2nd keyword is jumping in and out of serps (previous rank was 12)
