Alright, so I've been checking everywhere and I've generally been unable to form a good pricing for a shoutout.

I have a page of 20k followers with an average of 1.5k likes per post. I can say confidently that my engagement is very well as I interact with my followers on nearly every post, they always leave comments and like etc.

I've finally been contacted to make a shoutout but I am being asked about my pricing. I humbly admit that I need help in making a sufficient pricing.

I was following a CPM (cost to reach 1000 people) tutorial by "the fox and she" but it left me with a very high number to charge and to be frank, I don't know if I am overcharging or undercharging.

The equation was to divide the number of followers you have (in my case 20k) by 1,000 and then multiply the solution by 5, 7, and 10. I ended up getting 100 when I multiplied by 5; so in turn, that means my rate would be 100$ per $5 CPM.

100$ seems pretty large! I am not complaining obviously, but it seems like a large amount. My thing is that I don't want to overcharge; but I also don't want to undervalue myself if I am really worth 100$ for a shoutout.

I've seen 50k pages that charge upwards of 200$ per post but I am just not knowledgeable enough to truly find a good stable pricing that works.

Nevertheless, as you can see, I am quite new to all of this. I really would appreciate honest and helpful advice if it can be made available.

Well that is also something I would like to know of. I have seen that some have plans for hour long posts or permanent posts.

I am not entirely sure what are the intricacies; can anyone elaborate? If you also have a better suggestion, I would love to hear it.

I recommend going on shoutmarket and similar sites and check what accounts in a similar niche with about the same amount of followers are charging.
undercut that a bit and see if you sell some, if yes then increase it a bit or decrease if it doesnt sell well.

I'll check there then. I truly appreciate the help. In your own opinion however, you wouldn't have any suggested pricing?

You can charge as much as someone is willing to pay lol

$100 is way off though, usually rough estimate its around $10-$15 per 1000 likes

At 20k? You could probably get $10-20 for a shoutout, depending on who you talk to...

I would recommend you to charge:
$15 for 1 hour.
$25 for 2 hours.
$50 for 6 hours
$70 for a day.

I think this prices are reliable and both parties will be happy with it.

You have no idea what you're talking about... He has 20k followers...

I'd say $15-20 for a full day post.

I currently have 18.1k and I think this is fair:

6 Hours $5.00 Shoutout active for 6 hours
12 Hours $9.00 Shoutout active for 12 hours
24 Hours $15.00 Shoutout active for 24 hours
48 Hours $25.00 Shoutout active for 48 hours
Permanent $45.00 Unlimited duration

So I would first calculate your engagement and create the pricing around that. What I usually do is to get engagement for last 3 recent posts likes + comments per shot divided by total number of followers.

Here is the formula:
1) For last 3 posts calculate: (likes + comments) / # of followers
2) Sum these three results and devided it by 3, you will get engagement rate

You will get more accurate engagement rate. Now I apply CPM on result of (# of all followers * new enagagement rate) / 1000 * CPM

And CPM is in the range from $10 - $30, based on the requester and the niche. What I do, I always give them middle price. Example:

1) Engagement 4%, followers 30k, CPM $10 = $12 per shot
2) Engagement 4%, followers 30k, CPM $20 = $24 per shot
3) Engagement 4%, followers 30k, CPM $30 = $36 per shot

If it was some high profile company, I would go with $36. If someone small I would go with $24.

I'm running 5 accounts and I don't like playing games with potential customer, so when this question occurred I increased the CPM from regular $5 - $10 to $10 - $30 and set it for 24 hours. Usually people are OK with 24 hours pricing.

I have uniform price for permanent posts: $150. My accounts are in the range of 30k - 150k followers.

I would not price more than 30$ for a permanent post, but if people are willing to pay more...why not

24hr 1x
48hr 1.7x
30 days 3x
Perm 3.5x
The x means the cost per shot at any range you want of CPM. PM me if you want me to send you the excel!

Pretty easy to look up prices on shoutcart and see what similar pages are charging, I would start there! I think most prices posted here are too high, shoutouts aren't what they used to be.
