I participate in a few other forums that are not related to Internet Marketing.. they are related to an industry I used to work in and still find interesting.
What I do is pretty much participate in the discussions about what the industry is doing, where it is going, what kind of legislation is happening and such.
I'm friendly with a few of those guys off line as well from deals that we have done together.
So, there was a discussion on the site about a guy's particular website and I offered to take a look at it for him to offer him some free advice.
He sends me the site (it was atrocious) and I made a few suggestions and even offered to do some free Kw research for the guy so he could get traffic to his site.
I got a lot of PMs from different guys asking all manner of questions and as I answered them I had several guys want to hire me to build their sites.
Turns out from just helping that one guy out, I got 3 orders for sites/KWs/articles from that crowd and I charged them all 750.00 to do the sites.
I also told them the TAT would be 30 days to make it easier for me.
So, if you are involved in other forums (whatever your hobbies or interests are), offer to help those that have sites or those that want sites and you could very easily walk into something like this by accident.
You don't have to sell them or pitch them your product/service, and in my opinion you shouldn't, just offer to help and you never know what may fall your way by just being a decent human being.
