trade mark law

So, lets say there is a name that you know is trademarked and in this case it was "example". Would it be considered trademark infringement if you went and registered the domain "examp.le"? Also, do domain registrars have a say about registering a domain name thats using a trademarked name?

So I know of a company who does not have a trademark/Service mark either locally or federally on their LOGO that they use heavily. I am going to put a TM on it and try and stop them from using it. Anyone want to be on if it will work or not? This is not about money. I am in it for the spite.
