In Search Console under the section "Page with redirect", I see many Category pages like: https://www.domain.com/?cat=70 are redirecting to the respective Category page (https://www.domain.com/category/category-name/) What could be the reason? What should I do?

I just submitted a sitemap to a new site of mine, and it gave the message couldn't fetch under status tab after submitting in the new webmaster tools, in the old one it shows pending. Is this a common thing in the new GWTs ? Or is there something wrong? Never seen that message before after...
