yep followed when the CVE came out, thats a pretty nasty bug and exploits are making rounds since a while.
this is gonna be a problem for quite a while even when patches are rolled out as not everyone updates frequently.

Have you looked into the list of exploitable apps? This is a proper definition of "when shit hits the fan".

yea since its a heap overflow this is pretty much the definition of shit hits the fan :D ..no need for user interaction, can just exploit if by visiting a website for example to get 0wned or send a file to a vulnerable client.
