Over all, Smallgiant I think your review is accurate and objective. I found it especially interesting due to the fact that you obviously have more experience with the Penny Auction model than I have. The only slight problem I have with the review is a couple of your conclusions...the opinion that they are having, or are going to have problems retaining customers and also that they need to have more auctions. How do we KNOW they're not retaining customers and how do we KNOW that they need more auctions?...without the data, how do we KNOW these things?
I don't know if you've had the time yet to listen to the conference calls in the Back Office, but if you have, you know that the Zeekler admins have a close watch on the pulse of the auctions...At least they claim they do.
However, some of your concerns may have indeed have merit because, if you've read some of the latest news at ZeekRewards News, some of the changes they're making may be geared toward addressing these things.
I, like everyone else, have my opinion on lots of things when it comes to the way businesses should conduct themselves, however, we need to keep in mind that the way that a business may appear to be run or needs to be run as a consumer may be vastly different than the way it seems to the operators of a business...again, they have the benefit of the data.
Some of you know that my day job is as an insurance agent for one of the largest P&C insurance companies in the nation. Several times a week I have clients come in my office and angrily slap down their renewal bill and say something like, "Another premium increase!!?? Doesn't your company KNOW that we are in a recession? Inflation is killing me!! Your company is going to go out of business raising rates like this!! They should be helping the public out by LOWERING rates in times like this instead of RAISING them!! Has your company lost their minds?!!!" ...LOL! I can only imagine what would happen to my company if we were to operate completely on the way our customers thought we should operate.
Smallgiant, I'm not in any way saying that you have this sort of attitude. I just say this to illustrate the fact that things from the outside of a business are not what they are from the inside.
My desire, just as any ZR affiliate, is to see longivity with this company.
