Youtube Videos on TV shows? Copyrights a problem?

I'm planning on doing some videos that show images and reference TV shows periodically.
Can that become a problem with copyrights? or is it in a grey area like video game channels?

It will fall down to how much content from the TV shows you are going to use in your videos.
Besides the chances of getting a copyright will be there as you are going to use someone else content and the risk is always in it.

well what if someone was doing a documentary channel where it could be like idk the office and it spends half an hour talking about and showing images from the show?
Not my niche but it'd answer it for mine aswell

You will get copyright strikes very fast for sure if you go for TV shows. But still you can try to hard edit the videos to find the best one that works for you.
An advise it to make a case study. Create 5 accounts and start editing the videos differently for each account until you find the best one that works.
It shouldn`t be hard if you keep tracking them.

Man, I'm really trying to find some way to make this channel have no chance for copyright strikes.. hmm
