Recently my video was accepted into Youtube's revenue sharing program.
Here are the stats for today:

140 impressions 6 clicks on ads - made 2 cents!! lol

And yesterday I made 1 cent for 4 clicks. lol

Umm, Is this how their partner program is? Sheesh!
(I assume all the clicks on the ads are unique as Im not doing anything blackhat with that. Its all real)

Few months ago they sent me an email saying that one of my videos were getting very popular and that i could be earning from it etc etc etc so i filled out the app but they wanted more info about the videos content..like i guess if i had the rights since there were more people in the video other than myself..

But i really didnt know what info they needed so never got around to do it..

Yeah, thats what happened to me with this video. I don't qualify for a partner yet but my video was popular so they sent me a message to join their program with just this 1 video. It doesnt seem like its worth it much yet.... 3 cents total for 2 days of hits and clicks (10 total) doesn't sound right.

Do you know if they go by clicks or impressions?

I really have no idea either. But really anything is good as long as there was no intention of you getting paid for the video. For example mine, i had no idea that you could earn from it when i made that video. So whatever it gets then fine with me.

But im guessing that it would depend on the niche of your video..some ads pay more per click than others so.

Hope you don't mind my questionaire. :p

    1. How many months old is the video?

    2. How many views did it have when they contacted you?

    3. How old is the account that you uploaded the video to?

    4. How many videos are uploaded on that particular account?

I have some revenue sharing vids, as well, so I'll answer for perspective.

    1) The video was less than 2 weeks old.
    2) Roughly 1500 views within a few days.
    3) The account was about 2 weeks old prior to the video being uploaded.
    4) At the time there was about 6 videos uploaded on the account.

It's easy to get revenue sharing, harder to become an actual partner.

The video above was top rated, top commented, and top viewed before I got the invite. Another video on another account was about 2 years old and had 30k views before the invite came.

The CTR for the above is 0.47%. It's shit.

They contact you ghprod but like others said, the money you get is so small it probably isn't worth it. If you have a high traffic video, you could make more using it to drive traffic to your site to sell something, or if you aren't into that, there are a lot of people who will either pay you a flat fee or so much a month to post their link with your popular video.

I make about $20 a month from one video, which is clearly nothing.

My original purpose was to use the video as promotion for my site, and it served it well. I had my URL in the video description, as well as watermarked on the video.

From a promotion standpoint, it's great, since people embed the videos on forums and various sites. There hasn't been a ton of referrals from YouTube itself, but there was a lot of direct traffic, which indicates that people were taking note of the watermark and typing it in to check out the site.

You get paid a lot more as a partner, you have to sign a contract when you become a partner, and part of that includes that you will not tell anyone what you get paid, so I can no be exact, but you get a TON more than just with revenue sharing.
