Hey guys, I would like some advice (if any) in regards to monetizing videos on Youtube.

Is the only thing one needs to do is monetize the videos? Are there any options as to the possibility of earning even a bit more money on Adsense, or elsewhere? I've made like $20 in total so far, but I was wondering if there's any way I can earn more by switching up any settings if there are any.

    Any advice is appreciated ~

Have you enabled all the different ads (pop-ups, pre-video ads, etc.)?
I would also suggest you to join a YouTube network to receive a higher CPM (cost per mille) (how much you get per 1000 monetized views.

Not only that but most networks got PayPal or direct bank deposit as payment method + a small payout limit, some will pay you even if you only earned 1 dollar that month.

For network suggestions I would say Freedom MCN, they won't lock you into a contract that you won't be able to leave before x amount of years.

    Best,

Thank you for the reply! Yes, I enabled the pre video ads where one can skip or has to watch it for 15, 30 seconds, and the ad that pops up 10 seconds into the video.

I think what I need to do on my own time is research what CPM, CPC, etc. all mean because I'm still confused by it lol.. But how does a Youtube network function exactly? Will I then not be paid by Adsense anymore, but the Youtube network itself?

Joining a YouTube network is completely unnecessary if you create videos free of any copyright issues.

Given that you own all the content on the video, you can still only really benefit from joining a network if you have 100-200k+ subscribers and a good amount of video views. When this happens and you decide to publish videos regularly, feel free to join a good quality network with a clean track record(do research, lots of it).

Understand that you are required to sign a legal contract to join a network(be it lock in/non lock in contracts).

Read up on the pros and cons of joining YouTube networks(separately). Also read reviews.
You can technically make more money in the long run if you go solo IMHO and experience.

    Be warned.

    Good Luck!
    Ciao
