What length of video makes the most money on youtube on ads.

long videos, series, or movies video make the most... is it?

any anyone here running the movie channel or publishing company?

Videos with more than 10 minutes will most likely "worth" more, and will include more ads (during the video, at the end, etc...).
The challenge with videos with this duration is that people will get easily bored if the content is not interesting enough.

Focus on 8ish min long videos when starting. Until you build audience, the AVP and AVD will be low, so keeping 8min will let you add multiple ads and can bring >50% AVP faster than a 15 min video.

Yes right, a couple of years ago was 10 minutes but yt decided to reduce it to 8

Well this depends on what type of avenue you look to generate money from.

If you were using Adsense and earning money off ads, then any video over 8 mins has a better chance of doing good when compared to a video less than 5 mins. Over 8 mins = mid-video ads.

But you can also make money from affiliates and other ways that aren't necessarily Adsense revenue, and when done right, this has a chance to be lucrative for you.
