Youtube Monetization Tips & Discussion THREAD.

Videos with more than 10 minutes will most likely "worth" more, and will include more ads (during the video, at the end, etc...).
The challenge with videos with this duration is that people will get easily bored if the content is not interesting enough.

Longer videos don't necessarily make more money.
With affiliate links, short videos earn considerably more than ads.
What matters is your monetization strategy.

The longer your videos, the higher the chances of you making more money on Ads...but it doesn't always happen like that. There are many other factors that can influence your earnings.

Longer video with this same % watchtime will give you more money in most cases, because of more ads watched.

Something like 8 to 10 minutes is good. In some niche, people may watch longer videos and it will pay even more.

Focus on 8ish min long videos when starting. Until you build audience, the AVP and AVD will be low, so keeping 8min will let you add multiple ads and can bring >50% AVP faster than a 15 min video.

Long videos don't generally mean you will make more money, I would say an avg of 8-10 min videos should help you make money, but first you have to be pushing quality content that your targeted niche will consume.

I have a movie channel. There's no much difference between the long videos and short videos on earnings.

there are several youtube videos on how to get away with it. only show for a certain time frame is one of them
yes, that's for beginners, we core discuss in threads & experiment.

Well this depends on what type of avenue you look to generate money from.

If you were using Adsense and earning money off ads, then any video over 8 mins has a better chance of doing good when compared to a video less than 5 mins. Over 8 mins = mid-video ads.

But you can also make money from affiliates and other ways that aren't necessarily Adsense revenue, and when done right, this has a chance to be lucrative for you.
